is it me....
I think Sosa did extensive cardiovascular and plyometric training to regain his speed that he lost over the years

Sox may go after Acevedo
Then replace White with Acevedo. White's put up numbers before, but Acevedo's done the same thing IN THIS DIVISION.

is it me....
Hehe.... I think so. So what's his Hop-HR ratio now?

Favorite Sox player
I woulda guessed Josh Paul... but I went against my gut instincts.

Sox may go after Acevedo
Well, I figure then sign him in place of Sanders. Sanders is still a prospect in my book, so may as well have him pitching in AAA than rotting away like he is right now up here... might as well have someone like Acevedo rot away than him.

Favorite Sox player
Hurt. I started really following the Sox in '93 (when I moved back to the States temporarily from Japan when I was 9), though I consider myself "born and raised" a Sox fan, and Thomas is really the first marquee player I distinctly remember rooting for (other than Harold Baines when I was 3 )

Sox may go after Acevedo
Hell, a 2.65 ERA last year in the AL Central... he must have been doing something right against division opponents. Worth a shot to replace White or Sanders (who's just rotting away up here right now) or to sign him to a minor league contract.

Fan runs on field
Anyone else sick of those f***ing Ebay ads that keep popping up and making noise on Yahoo!??? Like Ebay needs to do any advertising.... I definitely find this Sosa thing amusing

Cotts on DL
Exactly. The only times strikeouts are decisively better are with men on base or when you have a terrible-fielding team behind you IMO.

At the All Star Break
Koch, at least, has turned a corner for sure... Farmio and Rooney gave a stat for his last 12 (?) games before last night... 0.71 ERA I believe.

Nice Looking NL DH's
Made him look bad... "Krispy-Kreme" wise?

Milhouse???

Next 6 games
Castillo is the type of player the Sox need if DJ isn't an option somehow.

Catcher Pick-up
Hopefully this'll be another Marte-like brilliant minor pickup for the Sox.

Aaron Rowand called up
Personally, I'd rather have Rowand out there in CF with his Epsteinian attitude. If Miles isn't going to be up with the big club, Rowand is the next best thing to get things sparked with the all-out hustle. Also, I'd rather have Rowand out there than Borchard right now because Borchard needs to work on his swing at AAA. Rowand has less of an upside, so there's less to damage by having him at the big league level rather than at AAA. In short, Rowand is a sort of non-prospect that's just filling in at the ML level so Borchard (a prospect) can develop. Good move IMO.

Joe Borchard back to minors
Josh, I still maintain that the David Wells trade isn't a failure. It's a break-even at worst. Sirotka didn't win a single game for the 'Jays, and Simmons came back to the Sox eventually. Both teams got screwed, but the Sox at least got a few wins out of DW.

All star uniforms
Nah, that's not fair. The inter-league schedules are unbalanced. I say that the best way is to give the team with the best record the HF advantage. But then they start griping about the differences in leagues, etc....
-
All star uniforms
Back to the HF advantage thing real quick... Interleague play records????

Hint, hint
I'm just saying the next manager should be young. DEFINITELY not saying Black Jack should be a manager.

D'Angelo article
Well could this "attitude" be accountable for the rest of the team's baserunning? I mean, you got guys like CLee who can't run the bases for the life of him, and nobody's questioning his work ethic. Maybe intelligent and aggressive baserunning isn't DJ's thing. Maybe there needs to be a speedy leadoff hitter playing CF, dropping DJ down to #2.

So can we agree now that we won the Colon trade?
Amen to that.

in honor of the Big Hurt
I just heard from my parents.... don't ask me

D'Angelo article
Definitely agree with you there.

So can we agree now that we won the Colon trade?
Sorry if it sounded like I was accusing you of blaming Colon. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I'd still much rather have a stud like Colon than Biddle, Osuna, and Liefer. I know you're not saying Colon sucks, but you're implying (in saying the trade didn't work out) that his presence isn't enough to make up for those 3, which I disagree with.
