Barely missed two homers. Seven this series. Traded for Laureano too late lol. Just nine homers in 112 IP for Cease. A's with thirty six homers for July, 4th place. Even Andrus is a power hitter recently.

Why couldn't Jon Adkins pitch like that with similar stats?? Only Sox opposition, not the guys acquired. Also after Judge, Seth Brown and Matt Carpenter Top 5 in AL homers post ASB. Judge already 12 and doubling up everyone.

And Brantley's lack of power isn't as conspicuous this season with the ball not carrying for most of the league other than Judge. Definition of a professional hitter with competitive at bats and veteran leadership. Unfortunately, out of their comfortable budget. They got scared off because of the Melky Cabrera flop. But Brantley has always been a better, more consistent player.

Well Hahn hasn't been able to pull off a trade his entire tenure like that... Fwiw we need to buy out the Rays' front office. It's simply incredible they are contending with that starting lineup missing Franco, Ramirez, Margot and Kiermaier. Yandy Diaz is their best hitter right now. The bottom four might be even worse than the numbers for Sox bottom of the lineup this year.

Discussion being the key point. We would need to trade half our farm system for Pablo Lopez. Chisholm is right behind him. And they can simply trade Cooper away and sign him right back…they don't desperately need 1B types on their roster.
