  1. Cardinal sins for any relief pitcher in that situation. Obviously lacking in confidence right now...doesn't want to get hit, so is trying to be TOO fine or careful because he just doesn't throw hard enough to dominate in the strike zone.
  2. Burger with his third homer already. .158/870 OPS 3 for 19 (all homers) Just 2 K's though, 1 BB
  3. 1.010 Mercedes .832 Mendick .797 Abreu .795 TA .775 Vaughn .752 Moncada .720 Grandal (.132 BA) .714 Madrigal (.297 BA) .609 Hamilton
  4. Man, THIS team and the way that they're going now. The crazy thing is those pesky Indians without much of an offense are just one lousy game behind us.
  5. Hamilton changes the whole complexion of the offense....can't imagine it with a healthy Jimenez/Robert and then subbing in Hamilton/Engel late to disrupt things and play defense on the corners with Robert in CF. Engel actually has sprint speeds higher than even Robert from last year.
  6. Can honestly say I'd rather have Hamilton in CF than Leury at this point... Unless it's a pitcher that Garcia has owned in the past. .558 OPS vs. whatever Leury's at, I think just around .500ish.
  7. Rosario was another option in the same price range...in this case, CLE adding by subtracting from the Twins, a "kill two birds with one stone" win.
  8. Looks like the Tigers might pin ten consecutive losses on the Royals...Mize leading Duffy, 4-2, DET batting in the bottom of the 7th.
  9. Neither starting pitching setting the world on fire. You knew with Happ's minuscule ERA he was due for a comeuppance...but Keuchel had been pitching much better in recent outings. Just have to think of him as a 4/5 and not a playoff starter and go from there. Just need his innings and keeping the team within hailing distance of opponents.
  10. Billy Hamilton Extension Talks proceeding...? I'm actually warming to his presence on a 26 man roster, because of all the things he can do defensively and on the basepaths (see Royals 2014-15 with Dyson/Gore not even batting) to change the complexion of the game, getting on the pitcher's nerves and disrupting rhythm, etc.
  11. Sheets and Rutherford next men up from Charlotte (recalls for injuries)....based on first week results. Lopez line so far.... 4 3 1 1 7 (on homer allowed, to Stevie Wilkerson.) Burger OPS=.681
  12. White Sox doing a good job in recent weeks responding when the opponent scores early...seizing back the momentum.
  13. I don’t know...that homer in Game 3 to the CF tarp at the Coliseum, what was it, 487 feet? Mercedes hits some massive bombs, too.
  14. Predictable...especially on the road. Scoring off Clase and Karinchak, not so easy.
  15. I think this is just limited to when he comes in as a defensive replacement or PHer from the 7th inning onwards...
  16. Robert at 100% should outhomer Jimenez, who’s more of an oppo and spray line drive hitter. At any rate, you pencil both guys in for 30-40 per season. https://whitesox.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9XHbY4krGPN3SeO White Sox/MLB survey on fan reactions to team so far...
  17. Heuer Tagged. Watch endorsement denied so far.
  18. A- until they dominate the Yankees...Cole is pitching today, do we face him? What grade should the Indians/Francona get? Greg will give Tito Francona A+ baby!
  19. Answer: TLR, TLR, TLR!!! and more aggressive base running (sends by 3B coach, except for Vaughn vs. Arraez), Billy Hamilton, clutch hitting and more emphasis on walks and contact.
  20. Or Robert/Jimenez K’s subtracted as well...homers too missing from those guys, so quite naturally down with Leury, Vaughn (ton of doubles), Madrigal, etc.
