  1. I think anyone would take 2/3 based on our history of horrors out there. This pitching match-up isnt favorable either, but o.co is a better stadium for a flyball pitcher like Danks..especially at night.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 16, 2015 -> 10:39 AM) I have once. Bo Aw, it is so nice that he can underachieve in relative obscurity while playing for the Astros. I'm sure his dad is happy that nobody cares he is hitting .230 He has still been a more valuable player than Melky for less money.
  3. Baez, Schwarber, Vogelbach and Almora are all hot at the moment, too. Looks like Royce Clayton is having some financial problems...either that or he's trying to make a quick real estate profit in Malibu. http://www.latimes.com/business/realestate...0515-story.html
  4. Six games over .500 would be their high point since 2009. Would be longest winning streak since 2011 (7).
  5. Rizzo with eight now has more stolen bases than the entire Sox team. And hasnt been caught stealing 11 times, either. Crazy for a 1b to be on a pace for 30-40 steals.
  6. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ May 16, 2015 -> 08:11 AM) 1-866-SOX-GAME When did that start? It definitely wasnt in the 80s or 90s.
  7. Just fortunate they werent facing one of the better teams with numerous offensive threats from the RH side. Other than the Mets and Angels (other than Trout), the perfect opportunity to give him some extra rest.
  8. Rasmus much more comfortable in Houston... http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/rasmus-...d:outbrain:sold
  9. Sox and Cubs both win today in inexplicable fashion. Crisp was hitting .031 and only one hit on the season.
  10. There better be a good explanation about Robertson.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:32 PM) Our SB percentage is pathetic, stop running please 7/18.
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:31 PM) Can't even steal off Phegley Never thought we'd see that sentence in a game thread.
  13. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:28 PM) They were effectively trying to burn Petricka so they could burn Vogt by putting in Duke. Now, instead, Vogt is gaurenteed to get a L-R matchup when Robertson comes in unless Robin lets Duke start the 9th I guess against Canha? Robertson better throw all offspeed stuff to Canha...could hit for Burns as well. Except Davis and Muncy are the only backups.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:26 PM) Whew...Ventura lives to see another day Almost out outmanaged again. Somehow Vogt would have hit a homer there...Duke and Melky looking like we bought them at apex value.
  15. Now what? Luckily Eaton didnt have a Polanco moment there.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:23 AM) Watched Locke last night. It was pretty good, but only for what it was. It ended and I was like "holy hell, the dude is literally just talking on a car phone the whole time". Sign of an excellent performance. Ryan Reynolds almost pulled it off in a casket...
  17. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:01 PM) Sogaard is a pint-sized piranha. Speaking of, where is Zobrist?
  18. Garcia and the Magic Railroad.....like a runaway freight train after he gets it started.
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:56 PM) We need one more bullpen arm to be dangerous. Crain 2012 or Linebrink 2008...would settle for Politte, 2005. Putnam, we expected....wasnt going to repeat last year's results. Fast infield like Texas...got through in a hurry. Crisp is someone you go right after....no confidence right now.
  20. Fun team to watch. Livingston would have been a monster if he could have somehow avoided all those injuries....
  21. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:53 PM) Still need 9 out in this HELL HOLE! No excuse not to use the best options from their pen from here on out. Just can't let Reddick beat them. No fastballs to Canha, too.
  22. Don't throw breaking balls to the White Sox. Used to be a dead-red fb hitting team. Rodon off the hook now.
  23. Well, they didnt give up tonight. This game wont be over until 12:30.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:24 PM) I don't think they'll trade him during the season, now that they're competitive. Most likely, he'll be gone this offseason. If I had to guess, Alexei/Tulo to Padres/Mets makes the most sense. Agreed 100%.
  25. Carlos has a 4.96 ERA but they have to keep sending him out there...unless he has 2-3 more starts with 5-6 walks. His change has been abandoned....more or less. Hard to get by as a two pitch thrower unless you have Bob Feller stuff. Watching Pineda tonight, similar, fb and slider 95%. Contreras with fastball and forkball/split.
