Saving for postseason…they will let him go until he gives up 4-5

30 doubles 30 homers 20 steals 100 rs

Kidnapping family in Cuba, holding hostage? Not actually providing fair market $$$?

Chances would improve by 80-85% in AL Central But the Mets blue jays mariners this year!!!

There have been so many studies about the correlation between higher payrolls and making the playoffs/advancing. TB CLE Milwaukee are always the counter examples given

648 Sox ops now

3-3 rangers jays 0-0 to second

3-2 A’s Probably will be tied at best

$31.5

4-4 Sox finish requires 6-3 5-3 requires 7-2

Back to sixth in rs 720 Leading AL still

Getting back to 2-2 really helped there

Let’s see it against higher quality pitching Baby steps

Haven’t seen two consecutive WP/PB runs scored

Guardians blow second bases loaded opportunity

You predicted the franchise would double in value in less than a decade despite 7-8 $100+ million contracts on the books simultaneously??? You actually predicted they were bound to crash and burn ignominiously.

Nobody is arguing that. It happens for every rebuilding team then cycles the other way like 2020-23 White Sox. Sox have been rebuilding for the better part of 15 years. No championships or banners for Brewers/Rays being most efficient either. And it's the Guardians with the lowest right???

Sure it wasn't Moncada?

75% win probability according to mlb.com Cubs Phils Padres separated by one Reason too 2-1 Reds

3-0 Athletics. We know we know far far far from over in CLE lol

Rookie Espino and his hard to control 100 mph fb could lose for the Guardians...who have Langeliers and Butler back at least. Still missing Kurtz Rooker and Wilson. And Bolte has been fun.

spotrac2026 MLB Team Salary Payroll TrackerA real-time look at the 2026 salary payroll totals for each MLB team..$97 million. You're conveniently forgetting the eminently serviceable Luis Castillo.

WestEddy vociferously complained about SD's contracts for a number of years (unsustainable for a small market), but it was actually the RSN implosion and Covid that got them...just like the White Sox. To the tune of $425/450 million in debt accrued, compared to $125/150 for the White Sox. PE jumped in and refinanced that debt for a share of ownership...that paid off handsomely. Capitalism.

Right 2017-19 2024-26 Original Machado deal was $300 million for ten years. That was fine...$240 million for over 30.2 fWAR, which is $8 million per 1 fWAR. It was the extension/ripped up contract in 2023 that was very bad. Still got credibility of a future HoFer, making it easier to bring in more talent. Sellouts, Top 3 attendance. 5/7 playoffs. Doubled franchise value to $3.9 billion. Actually Tatis Jr. has been the only strong high extracted value deal. First Machado deal was fine. Jackson Merrill jury still out. Bogaerts and Cronenworth simply terrible. Darvish Musgrove disasters for a number of reasons...although insurance paying some of that back, Yu agreed to defer some as well in lieu of outright retirement. Michael King has been fine...Pivetta very good last year but hurt this season.

Right...and Hideki Irabu failed so miserably he would later take his own life.
