  1. That the sweet spot for at least being competitive is around $140-150 million... Brewers Reds Guardians the true anomalies under that figure. Although one could argue the latter two teams much closer to .500 than the Brewers. And Tigers right around that $145 million mark.
  2. Ohtani on a 1/23 run since two homers in G1 of the WC series against Cincy. Dodgers still in driver's seat. DP keeps the Brewers in this...maybe the end of Peralta as Ashby would get F.Freeman in the 6th.
  3. https://www.mlb.com/news/munetaka-murakami-market-mlb Murakami actually looks like he could be anywhere from $140-180 million at this point...the original rumor was $300 million (matching Yamamoto), but that was before missing 2/3rds of the season in Japan. Korean CF Lee @ $113 million actually has the record for biggest deal coming directly over from Asia to the US, Yoshida and Suzuki both under $100 million.
  4. Two pitcher's duels back-to-back keeping the Milwaukee crowds mostly quiet...
  5. If they don't win a single game anything is possible... But yeah if you believe in him, you give him a rookie QB and start over. The problem with that is there's not really a sure fire #1 guy to draft. Which outside you in the same situation the Titans are in...albeit NY has better weapons on offense in Wilson Hall Taylor. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2026/story/_/id/46573669/2026-nfl-draft-rankings-mel-kiper-big-board-top-prospects-players-positions Dante Moore and Mendoza don't exactly seem like immediate "dominate the NFL" talents.
  6. Dodgers have won 16 of their last 20 and 8-2 (away games) in the postseason. Yankees 1 win Padres 2 wins Phillies 1 win
  7. Still waiting on his last playoff starts...most teams will want to go shorter years with higher annual salaries and/or look at incentive-laden deals coming off all those injuries the last couple of seasons. Plus he's no spring chicken, although saving that wear and tear in his 30s might be a net benefit. 3-4 years $115-125 million maybe
  8. In reality Bichette Bregman Valdez Bellinger Cease Suarez King Schwarber Alonso Woodruff are about the only singular players one could consider that might end up in that price range. Might.
  9. That was the case in 2024, when only the A's in their final season at the Coliseum were lower. How do you not beat the Rays Marlins Pirates etc.?
  10. Well the Brewers had a miracle play and late chances against Treinen/Sasaki but still didn't win...and.Peralta didn't pitch that well last time out, either.
  11. Maybe the craziest thing this season is the Bucs being #1 in some power ratings this week now minus McMillan Evans Godwin Egbuka and Bucky Irving. Also, guess CLE is where all QBs go to die. Finally, Glenn and McDaniel the next two to get fired. Raiders and Browns trending straight down after CLE blew their chances to beat MINN across the pond and then ineptly threw the ball 57 times against Pitt. Taylor in Cincy might not survive this year, either. Only safe for now jobs are Giants and Saints.
  12. The biggest question mark for Sox fans remains the ongoing stadium issue...the timing of that possible sale to Ishbia and 2029 certainly is not a coincidence.
  13. The Astros and Cardinals pretty much decided it WAS rocket science about 15 or so years ago...under Luhnow and Megdal.
  14. Remember the Pirates are a revenue sharing/receiving team while the White Sox certainly are not...
  15. Need to get to the 20-25 under these conditions to feel more comfortable.
  16. Looks like Treinen might have restored some of Roberts' lost confidence in him...LA pretty lucky it ended up a ground rule double on the Bauers ball over Pages.
  17. Getting too conservative...that said, two more plays to get 5.
  18. Loading the bases intentionally hasn't worked that well this postseason.
  19. What the hell are the baserunners supposed to do there when it wasn't even clear if it was a catch or not? Crazy play.
  20. McDougal the only one from that list that stands out...two guys recovering from major injuries.
  21. Yeah can immediately plug in Caissie to replace Tucker in RF and Alcantara to use in trade...Ballesteros has some unique skills. Getting Horton and Steele back for that rotation as well.
  22. ND/local and regional marketing lol. Ed Farmer was happy, at least.
