Andrew Vaughn, speed demon

The Brewers aren't in the game thread, either.
-
Nice to have the back end depth of Scherzer Bassitt Lauer and Berrios (when healthy)...
-
3/29 stretch for Ohtani... Haven't seen him struggle like this in ages as a hitter. Yet LA still on the verge of a commanding 3-0 series lead.
-
Dodger Stadium=40 NLCS Guaranteed Rate=1 ALCS Really generous tonight with outside strike calls on left hand batter's box side.
-
Chourio their most dangerous hitter in the postseason out and best bullpen bullets gone. Uribe pitching on fumes.
-
Gotta make Treinen work harder than that...
-
Fathom won't want Ortiz hitting here. Treinen in early. Looks like Sasaki still the closer.
-
Should have just walked Muncy in the first place.
-
Francona would never have come back for the White Sox job...especially considering how he was let go by the team in the 1990s.
-
Edman yet again. Uribe in with the series on the line.
-
F.Liriano used to throw his hard slider at 90. Misiorowski is at 96.
-
Brewers just 8 runs in their last five postseason games...something they never did during the regular season.
-
All depends on your feeling about winning with Canseco McGwire and Pujols. https://www.riverfronttimes.com/albert-pujols-accused-of-steroid-use-i-know-for-a-fact-he-was-says-jack-clark/

Wasn't Jacobson a basketball player for the Golden Gophers? https://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2024/11/29/24309114/cubs-name-casey-jacobson-assistant-pitching-coach Apparently five years with the Cubs as asst and also Driveline before that...

Blue Jays hitters vs. Ohtani https://stathead.com/baseball/vs/shohei-ohtani-vs-toronto-blue-jays 19/60 discounting Ty France's 3/20, 5 homers and 11 RBIs Blue Jays hitters vs. Glasnow .236 .313 .416 .729

Sure...but the Dodgers only gave up 3.34 total runs per game (earned and unearned) over their final 41 games. 12 times out of 41 they allowed five or more runs...but I'm sure the majority of those starts were not Snell Yamamoto Ohtani and Glasnow. All four of those starters would be chosen by other teams over Kevin Gausman, Toronto's #1, at this point in the season. And Yesavage just got rocked his last start and seems to be affected now by social media critcism/heat directed at his family and friends. Anything is possible...but that LA lineup hasn't been close to firing on all cylinders in the postseason as of yet.

One of O'Hearn or Bader and Mullins on 1 year deals would be a nice offseason to me. All three finished playing for contenders. They won't talk to the White Sox until/unless it's a last possible resort. Only Mullins might be in that boat based on?his finish with the Mets. What does another Michael A. Ticket do for the Sox in Year 3 of a rebuild?

This series just turned on a dime... 74-5 Toronto record when scoring five or more runs.

Rout is on??? Someone's going to get injured by that trident eventually... Go George Bonds (Jorge)!!! 24-7 home winning streak

Burden is trending upwards...36-39% usage, especially if Moore isn't 100%. Warren and Cam Skattebo in particular are two players that take a ton of hits due to their running styles. Will be interesting to see how that holds up over time. "A lot of that work is coming in like that design game. So part of me wonders like how much is he really adjusting to this playbook, to the NFL, how much do they trust him there because 50% of his targets right now are like those design screens, that sort of thing. He has that flea flicker as well. But even if you take out the flea flicker, his yards after the catch, are over 6. So really good there, still getting lots of design work, which means like they're trying to get him involved. The targets per route is really good. Just can he take that next jump as the next step? How much of a bump would you expect if he's at 36%, which was not because DJ Moore missed time." yahoo fantasy sports

Ramos was rumored to be moving to the outfield. Then Vargas has some experience out there as well. Maybe think outside the box and try Japan or Korea? https://risingapple.com/ny-mets-3-japanese-stars-2026 Okamoto for 1B/DH is an obvious one...but likely to a contender like the Red Sox, who already have Yoshida. Mets if Alonso departs. Tatsuya Imai SP "Tatsuya Imai is looking to get posted by the Seibu Lions and make the jump to MLB, bringing a right-handed arm that could be exactly what the Mets are searching for. At 27, he just completed the best season of his eight-year NPB career, posting a 1.92 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP, and 178 strikeouts in 163.2 innings. His performance underlines both dominance and durability, showing he can handle a full workload while keeping hitters off balance with his mid- to high-90s fastball and a mix of slider, splitter, and changeup."
