3/31 Sox vs. Twins 1:10PM
Why aren't the Sox at least #3-5? Robert is the only veteran player with any trade value...and he's actually still younger than the average rostered player. We need to be near the youngest by the end of this season IMO. Dealing/waiving Martin Perez will be one aspect of that.

https://www.betvirginia.com/mlb/youngest-rosters White Sox only the 9th youngest MLB roster. CLE and DET are younger...KC would be without Perez Wacha Lugo Renfroe, etc.

Sox first week minor league numbers...
Except we drafted a first rounder in Jacob Gonzalez who also has across the board tools limitations...and who also probably isn't a major league SS.

3/31 Sox vs. Twins 1:10PM
Just use Greg Jones for that...defensive replacement and PR. Least amount of plate appearances.

Alexander Canario
Brent Lillibridge nominated.

3/31 Sox vs. Twins 1:10PM
30. Chicago White Sox The White Sox have the worst lineup in the American League, and it’s only going to get worse when they trade their best hitter, center fielder Luis Robert Jr., between now and the trade deadline. Chicago is hoping that first baseman Andrew Vaughn is better than last year (.246 average, 19 homers) and that Andrew Benintendi can repeat or top his 20-homer season of a year ago. But the rest of the lineup is basically filled with role players who are serving as placeholders until the farm system can produce better major leaguers. theathletic.com

The club says Quero for now but that's because they are much more familiar with him.

We probably have the second oldest roster in the AL Central...after the Twins. How/why?

Just what MLB needs...Robert on the Mets Yankees or Dodgers.

White Sox tarp/rain and hail delay debacle makes national news...
It's not easy work, that's for sure. I've seen 185 pounders thrown 20-30 feet up into the air and almost blown away in the high gale force winds, barely holding on for life...and baked in the August humidity as you could see all the colors of the spectrum emanating from the tarp in waves, the sun beating down mercilessly just minutes after a late afternoon deluge, after the sky had almost turned pitch black with threatening rain clouds.

Imagine having the pressure and expectations of a whole country on your shoulders... It killed Hideki Irabu eventually. Now the Dodgers are 5-0 but that doesn't all is well...reminiscent of Vargas looking shell shocked last summer after the trade.

Colson Montgomery has 1 homer and 9 strikeouts so far...which is far better than Rafael Devers!

BoSox/Devers
The biggest mistake was the Mookie Betts trade...they should have invested all their money into him and cast the one-dimensional Devers aside, if forced to choose between those two and Bogaerts, how has been a big disappointment so far in SD. They have the Top 15 in all of MiLB trio of Campbell-Anthony-Mayer and broke in a bunch of youngsters last year in Rafaela, Abreu and then Duran had a breakout season as well. It's all going to come down down to Trevor Story's health, starting pitching (health/effectiveness) and how long Alex Bregman can remain one of the best 3B in the majors.

- Torpedo Bats
We might want to combine these threads together...there are now two in SoxTalk and noticed another one in Diamond Notes. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/article/whats-the-deal-with-the-yankees-torpedo-bats-and-are-they-really-a-competitive-advantage-000747259.html- Sox Spring Training notes
Even Craig James and Eric Dickerson would be disappointed...- GT - 3/30 - Angels at Sox (1:10pm CST)
Braden Montgomery is at least two years away...and is the closest to a "future star" with Colson's prospect status fading by the week. Of course, you're referring to Teel and Quero's looming presence in Charlotte as an "alignment," whatever that even means. It's basically all on the Big 3 starters, along with Burke and now Shane Smith...to transform the franchise into a .500ish/competitive team. We don't even have a starting pitching niche/depth advantage with all the UCL injuries that have occurred over the past 12 months. - Torpedo Bats
