Mysteries
Sounds like the exact same argument most voters are having with themselves these days...evil of two lessors, or the lesser of two evils, not sure which is which. At any rate, it's a pretty sad state of affairs. Not even sure if Getz has the cojones to put up with this constant (anticipated) negativity over the next 2-3 seasons. No way they're paying him anywhere close to $1 million per year, although running interference for Reinsdorf and son might be worth approximately half that. I guess if Brooks Boyer can proudly take his money, TLR, Grifol, so can Getzie.

No way in hell. Why do you think he has been hiding from the media for almost a year?

9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
Basically almost 1/2 the playoff spots would be decided by the Sox if they did somehow manage to finish 31-131. Lovable Losers? Can't even manage to steal Cubs' identity there.

9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
They've spent more than their four Central Division rivals since 2012. It's HOW the money is spent that is precisely the problem here.

9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
But the sensationalist gossipy behind the scenes speculation is what sells now....not solid objective journalism. Exposing the sordid underbelly of the organization...stories like Kopech Anderson Gio's "betrayal" Moncada Burger's comeback Liam's cancer fight etc.

9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
He's looking better than Getz right now for sure, in comparison. Some of the DDL moves last year were solid like Quero and the instinct to remove Anderson from the equation...albeit way too late to save a sinking ship.

9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
If you were a gambler...you might get the impression they were trying to deliberately lose this game.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
30. White Sox (previously: 30) Season high: 28 | Season low: 30 We all figured the White Sox would be worse after the All-Star break and especially after the Trade Deadline, considering how bad they were before they sent off their useful pieces. But 4-36 after the All-Star break? 4-36? They now have three different 10-game losing streaks this year, which is almost impressive. mlb.com

DeLoach and Iriarte recalled for roster expansion
I haven't seen anyone advocating DeLoach be named even a platform starter for 2025.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
Braves must not exactly be enamored with the Sox lying down for the Mets... When all is said and done, any game that SD AZ ATL NYM or Cubs would have lost to the White Sox might easily prove to be the decisive swing in the WC standings. White Sox basically gifting 2 out of 3 WC spots to the AL CENTRAL AS well.

That's not even in the Top 25 of the Hahn/Getz Era or "Regime."

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
But Rick Hahn was once American League Executive of the Year. Yoan Moncada was a Twinkie loving Triple Crown winner waiting to happen, Robert was destined to be Trout Lite and TA7 wasn't a ghost in RCF in the Iowa corn Fields along with Ray Liotta and Moonlight Graham. Even Robin Ventura's 2012 fade to DET (12 or 13 rookie pitchers and solid defense) season stands out as a line of demarcation there.

Pretty soon...after another 2-3 years of this, and there won't be any audience left remaining. The White Sox will be consigned to the dustbin of history, a relic of the past. And the only recent memories for most young fans will be 2023/24/25/26/27...when they managed to set every possible mark for futility while playing in the poorest division in baseball with a non-expansion team.

We said exactly this about Gio Cease Kopech Reynoldo 5-6 years ago...except none were consistently aces in Chicago, only Gio for two seasons and Cease for one. And then Crochet finally for about 3-4 months. But never in any synchronized way. It was always just completely haphazard...almost random. And we couldn't win anything with Sale Q Abreu Eaton alone either.

Health...Schultz and Crochet, ofc.

Except how much credibility does someone with a career .167 average get? Would like to think players would be open minded. Montgomery Colas Fletcher Sosa Zavala all went backwards or flatlined. Quero was a relative success but now he's pretty beat up. One plus I guess. Baldwin simply returned to mean? Wolkow at least 3-4 years away. Ramos...can we actually get to watch him play for an extended period of time now?

Sure, but once again...after the top two hyped lefties, massive uncertainty. Thorpe is #3 arguably...or Cannon, if you looked at it like a 2026 future rotation. Martin is a pedestrian #4. Bush and Nastrini seem doomed for the back end or bullpen. Eder? Iriarte? Taylor? Keener? You have anything from the three headlining (Crochet included) stars comprising a potential greatest collection of lefties ever assembled to a trade and UCL joint away from an unending decade in the pitching wilderness ... think Glavine Smoltz Avery Maddux Schmidt etc. Of course we had these same dream rotations in 1998-2001 and then 2017-19 and look how they ended...it took quite fortuitous trades to result in 2005.
