Fire Chris Getz
We were promised the second coming of Branch Rickey...hitting the ground running since he already knew the ins and outs of the Sox system.

Sox Quote of the Day...8/25
Guess that would be South Atlantic/Florida....etc.

Clevinger accused of Domestic Abuse again, while with Sox, by a different woman
Here we go again. Just based on his injury history the last five years alone, they were playing with fire.

5-move day: Ramos and Peralta called up, Bush sent down, Senzel jettisoned and Jacob Amaya claimed. Ramos back down, Amaya up.
AA happened. His new home stadium happened, as opposed to more hitting friendly A ball environs.

Fire Chris Getz
Get rid of all Michigan connections in the front office...

Getz’s Hilarious Hypocrisy
Salma Hayek is, or at least can be, very entrepreneurial and a business hustler when she sees the right opportunity.

Pham, Fedde
Erick Fedde, RHP, Cardinals Projected: 1.4 fWAR, 4.86 ERA Actual: 2.7 fWAR, 3.39 ERA In March, Fedde was a former first-round pick with a career 5.41 ERA who had just returned from a successful KBO season (20-6, 2.00 ERA, 0.95 WHIP.) What was going to come of his shot-in-the-dark two-year deal with the White Sox was a complete question mark. He returned to MLB critically having swapped his curveball, against which he allowed a .504 slugging percentage in 2022, for a sweeper (.148 BA, .296 SLG entering Monday), and with a newfound ability to limit his baserunners. 2017-22 vs. 2024 Hard-hit rate: 42.5% -> 36.2% WHIP: 1.52 -> 1.18 BB/9: 3.8 -> 2.6 Despite ZiPS overshooting his actual K/9 rate, projecting 8.7 strikeouts per nine innings (he's at 7.7), Fedde's proven to be one of the best chances any team took last offseason. 8/26 - I just Googled it, and there's a game happening right now - Tigers (Buddy's Pizza) @ Sox (Vito & Nick's - change my mind)
Royals just one game behind the Guardians, Twins looking to be 2 back That "poor" record by the Guardians against the White Sox might easily come back to haunt them now down the stretch... Boston just 5 games over .500 and fading.

You mean like Jimenez and Sheets and Burger?

What they do with Crochet and Robert is much more important...since no adding through FA except at the margins and no future Frank Thomas or Robin Ventura to rely upon until the 2026 draft. Meanwhile another version of Jacob Gonzalez on the way next year at #10. Yay?

Sox Quote of the Day...8/25
Toronto and Detroit are just mediocre but hardly disasters yet...Nationals feel like the new media darlings, Pirates, Reds, etc. KC's rise from 106 losses and eventually a new stadium seemingly, that's pretty darned close to the opposite of the Sox in one of the smallest markets, with Cags on the way as well to supplement an anticipated Sal Perez falloff.

Sox Quote of the Day...8/25
https://whitesoxdaily.substack.com/p/2023-draft-inside-the-white-sox-war Maybe we can start emailing all these scouts and ask them what the heck is going on? Usually the Sox email addresses are first initial/last name at whitesox or chisox.com. The Jacob Gonzalez internal assessment really stands out...but not in a good way. Like Nick Hostetler and Z.Collins going at 1-1.

5-move day: Ramos and Peralta called up, Bush sent down, Senzel jettisoned and Jacob Amaya claimed. Ramos back down, Amaya up.
Panic is really setting in about avoiding the all time loss record and how that will doom the marketing department efforts in the off season...since only additional pay roll cuts are forthcoming.

Getz’s Hilarious Hypocrisy
Can someone message Jay Cuda and ask him where he's getting his info on the Sox scouting situation lol?

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
Or Danny Tartabull is back on the way.

Getz’s Hilarious Hypocrisy
Or relentless media attention on a daily basis about how awful the franchise is and JR's outsized role in that...making a new stadium a complete pipe dream.

Robles is falling back down to earth.

To block Ramos apparently.

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
"(Kenny) Williams also stressed the good things that are going on in the Venezuela operations (except for you know, Guillen leaving) even if he doesn't name the two top prospects that he referred to as "The Franchise -- Sanchez -- and a left-handed pitcher in the Instructional League." He can't brag about the team's status in the talent-rich Dominican Republic. Williams seemed to suggest it's getting tougher to scout there, which is odd. "If you look at our reports, across the industry, there's not as many Type I, Type II Dominican players coming out," Williams said. "It's getting harder [and] harder, for whatever reason." The Rangers signed Dominican outfielder Nomar Mazara to a record $5 million deal this season. Bonuses are high across baseball for Dominican players. Under the Ricketts family, the Cubs are banking on upgrades to their Dominican operations, which has produced Carlos Marmol and Starlin Castro. No one really brings up the Sox's continued failures in the Dominican, but when the White Sox develop a homegrown Latin American star again, let me know." https://www.espn.co.uk/mlb/story/_/id/7029285/now-ozzie-guillen-gone-pressure-chicago-white-sox-gm-kenny-williams This was written a scant thirteen seasons ago. Please tell me he's not referring to Carlos/Yolmer Sanchez as The Franchise!!! Nestor Molina was bad enough.

Fire Chris Getz

How can Getz and Barfield both be so bad at finding infielders
KW trades Burger for Eder, fired in the following month... Tosar key influence on Vargas acquisition... Barfield main influence on Fletcher over McCarthy... "Assistant hitting coach Mike Tosar and third base coach Eddie Rodríguez. The latter two are long-time friends and associates of Grifol, dating back multiple organizations. "As the season began, it was the first time really with to work closely with Pedro, with this staff from Opening Day on. Recognized there was some misalignments along the way. Some different belief systems, and there was lack of production overall. You look at how many games that we’ve led early and weren’t able to finish or how many games we haven’t been able to come back to get a win. Obviously there was something that was broken.” https://soxmachine.com/2024/08/pedro-grifol-was-fired-by-the-white-sox-what-did-chris-getz-have-to-say-about-it/ Or how many games they haven't been able to come from behind after training through 5/6 innings??? Truly abysmal numbers. (Also truly surprised Tosar and Pedro didn't go after former Miami Hurricane Zack Collins with all their U connections lol. Or Hostetler to Heyward with the Braves.)

Getz’s Hilarious Hypocrisy
Manfred needs to intervene on the Sox scouting situation...for the best interests of the sport.

8/25 Games
He should have learned watching Viciedo and Beckham struggle with high fast balls for years.

Sox keeping it 100
1962 Mets were 33-98, 52 games behind first place...Sox two games "out in front" as of today. But at least Benintendi is giving away fewer at bats under Grade Sizemore!
