He's only 23 so he's still fairly young.

I think Ferris would be a pretty good pick, especially because 1B is a position where we don't have any real prospects (except for maybe Rogowski). Of course, I know we shouldn't draft a position b/c our system is weak at that position, but I'm just saying it would be another plus to taking this guy.

I'd rather get a college player in the 1st round too, but I'm just trying to throw out as many options as possible.

Another player that might be available at our pick in the 1st round is Greg Golson, a high school OF'er from Austin, Texas. He has very good speed and a great arm from the outfield. Here are some quotes on Golson from an article I read on perfectgame.org: "A few plays that stood out during the game included watching speedster Greg Golson (Austin, TX) run down a shallow fly ball, making it look very easy..." I'd love to get any of those players, but Howell would be my first choice with Meyers, Trumbo, and Suzuki after that.
