  1. I agree, Rolen over Lowell. Also, I hate to say it but supersteve is probably 100% right in how the voting will go for the All-Star game. It will be either all Yankees players or Japanese players, lol (with the exception of I-Rod and Vlad). I personally don't like how the fans vote b/c it's just the fan favorites who get voted to start and not who's having the best year. At least the backups aren't selected by the "fans" too.
  2. I'd be pretty happy with Livan Hernandez. He's got a lot of experience in the playoffs(including the world series), and I don't think we'd have to give up anything we coulnd't live with.
  3. Great article! I've been out of town the last week and haven't been able to keep track of what our minor leaguers have been doing so this was a great way for me to see what some of our guys did this week. thanx

Ben Harrison is a guy that I'd love to get in the 2nd or 3rd round. He was drafted last year as a junior, but didn't sign w/ whoever drafted him. He is a CF from U of Florida, and would be a great pickup. I really wanted to draft him last year, and hope that we get him this year. Here are his stats from this year: Avg.- .356 HR- 15 RBI- 51 R- 53 2B- 12 BB- 44 K- 53 OBP- .459 At-Bats- 218 Games started/ played- 58/58 Errors- 1 Assists- 5
  5. thanx everyone, i think i'm gonna go buy MVP right now
  6. thanks, flipped out punk
  7. I love Fields and think it would be great if we drafted him. One note on him is that a lot of teams don't pitch to him so that's why he doesn't have as many HR's or RBI's as other hitters in the draft.
  8. I haven't gotten a chance to play any 2004 baseball video games, and I was wondering what y'all think is the best one so I can have an idea of what to buy?
  9. Another good thing about Fields is that he doesnt' have a big ego and is pretty modest, and he is very disciplined and has a very good work ethic. Two guys that we could look at with our supp. picks or 2nd round picks are Micah Owings, a 1B from Georgia Tech, and Eric Patterson (brother of Corey), a 2B from Georgia Tech. Both of these guys might fall some because of their slow starts at the beginning of the year. And lastly, thinking of the draft and Georgia Tech, Wes Hodges is having a good year and is learning a new position, 3B (he was a high school SS). For those of you that don't know, Hodges was our 13th round pick last year, but elected to attend Georgia Tech instead of sign with us.
  10. Another player I wouldn't mind taking with one of our picks would be Josh Fields, a 3B from Oklahoma St.
  11. I don't know about how we should take w/ our first pick, but I'd like to see us draft Colin Mahoney or either of ECU's Lawhorn twins (preferably Trevor) with some of our extra picks. btw, just click on their names for links on articles about these guys.
  12. It's good to see Ulacia doing so well. I kinda would like for him to stay in the rotation with the way he's pitching, but hopefully he'll continue lighting it up in the bullpen.
  13. There are still some pretty good players available tomorrow. Personally, as a Bears fan, I'd like to see us get any two of Will Poole, Nat Dorsey, Ben Utecht, or Greg Brooks if they fall to our picks. In the 5th round, I'd like to see us get Jason Peters (huge TE, over 300 lbs.), Tony Pape (if we don't get Dorsey in 4th), Mewelde Moore, or even maybe a 3rd QB like John Navarre or Jeff Smoker, but I would rather wait until 7th round to get a QB like Ryan Dinwiddie, Jared Lorenzen, or Rod Rutherford (this guy absolutely ran over Jonathan Vilma last year when Pitt played Miami; and, I know this means nothing to how he is as a QB, but I just wanted to point out that the guy who everyone considered the best LB in the draft was run over, i mean, absolutely flattened out by a quarterback.)
  14. Crede's single was changed to an error by Jeter
  15. Nice play by Crede! 2 up, 2 down
  16. He gawn! 1 up, 1 down
  17. Man, that would have been great if Rowand had sent that ball out of the park. 0-2 bad guys
  18. Alright, Crede singles up middle... runners on 1st and 3rd. 2 outs. Let's go Rowand!
  19. Paulie down swinging, runner on 1st, 2 outs
  20. Alright Frank, way to start out the inning! Come on Carlos! runner on 1st, 0 outs
  21. Soxnbears, i'll stop w/ the play by play, and let you handle it
  22. Bottom of 1st: Jeter- Fly out to RF Williams- single to 2B A-Rod- walk Giambi- walk Sheffield- single Williams scores Posada- Sac Fly to RF A-rod scores Matsui- ground out to 3B 0-2 bad guys going into top of 2nd
  23. Damn, bases loaded now w/ another walk. Sheffield up. This is not the way to start out the game.
  24. A-rod walked... Giambi up w/ runners on 1st and 2nd. Come on, let's get out of this inning right now!
  25. Damnit Harris! Bernie on 1st now. A-rod up.
