  1. Booner throwing strikes No pressure, go figure
  2. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) I agree with this. Nothing says POS team like one that's throwing beanballs after getting their asses handed to them 2 straight days in embarassing losses. How about the pitchers actually get some guys out? wow, someone who's got a brain. agree 100%.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Is that you mariotti? i can't believe some of you people are condoning what ozzie obviously had Carrasco do there to Olivo, he was trying to nail that dude with a fastball, because the royals are absolutely dominating our sh*tty team this weekend twins broadcast now showing the brawl, hahahaha twins fans have to be loving this right now
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:39 PM) The Sox? No offense, but that's bulls*** if you mean them. The Royals have acted like f***ing bushless steroid using dickheads today. not a fan of fastballs at the grill because your pitching staff fu*king blows. and i don't disagree that Olivo looks like a roider, not that it has anything to do with anything
  5. I can't watch this classless team anymore
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:29 PM) The same reason very few teams had the pieces and could meet the asking price to get high-quality short relief help. KW's in a no-win position...he holds his breath on Linebrink's health and hopes we can stay close until the middle of the month, or he deals some combination of Poreda, Fields, Silverio and Martinez to get Street, which would further decimate any chances of the White Sox competing in the future. we had fields as a trade chip, uribe has shown he can play 3B if crede walks next year, but who cares, since we aren't competing next year anyways, at least we could've possibly gotten a decent starter from somebody
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:26 PM) So much for Ginter, looks like the Indians will be down at least 3-0. It was about six weeks coming, but the Twins are finally passing us...and it really feels like we're going to be left behind, unless Minnesota completely tanks on the road and we can somehow get our mojo back against two impressive offenses in DET and BOS. agreed, unless they choke worse than we do, this season is done
  8. Twins not gonna relinquish first place after tonight, their schedule is weaksauce coming up compared to ours, i don't care if they're on the road or not. We face some damn good teams and they face the cellar even if we won today, you can't convince me the rest of this season is setup for us to win this thing how did our pitching staff just die all at once? i guess it's possible from all of the overwork early in the season, but if that's the case, how did KW not see this coming and do something about it
  9. No pressure Clayton, just get your work in!
  10. Konerko is really really bad Takes a hanging breaking ball for strike 1, swings at a fastball in the dirt and grounds out. lol I don't see how he isn't in AAA getting regular at bats against pitching that might help him get his timing or whatever back
  11. Tribe making things interesting, looks like Liriano is throwing quite a few pitches
  12. here comes the 2-out circus guys
  13. QUOTE (G&T @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:11 PM) Just got home to see this. Great. What makes it worse is that they probably will come back then lose like 8-6. this lineup is questionable IMO with Thome on the bench, and Paulie at 1st, and Uribe at 3rd. I thought Fields was our 3B of the future and was untouchable in trades? Why the **** is he on the bench then?
  14. this is the 4th or 5th time in a row, where our pitchers crap the bed when the temperature goes above 98-99'F
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 02:01 PM) Acquire another starter by trading Floyd/Danks or Buehrle and Fields? That really wouldn't make much of any sense from a long-term payroll flexibility standpoint, and we'd still have a huge hole in our rotation, bullpen, speed and defense. And I think Josh Fields is quickly losing some of the glow....I wish we could have traded Thornton a month or so ago and Josh Fields in the off-season for more pitching depth, even though we won't keep Crede IMO. I'm trying to figure out why Fields is riding pine and Uribe is at 3rd, when Fields was "untouchable, and would compromise our future" on July 31st hilarious
  16. Ready for another 1-2-3 inning?
  17. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 01:57 PM) .5 back after today. 2003/4 all over again. Liriano looks SICK right now, ridiculous stuff
  18. lol, just pour it on Royals, we deserve nothing less
  19. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 01:54 PM) The only thing that tells you is, that there really isn't anyone better down there right now. Egbert still hurt?
  20. we throw fastballs up in the zone, and the royals obliterate them greinke throws fastballs up in the zone, and we pop out the difference right now in these two lineups is hilarious, they're the friggin ROYALS
  21. sad thing about this is even if the score was still 0-0, i doubt we score more than 3-4 runs total today greinke is just pitching great, we don't have anyone in our pen who can come in and just take over for the next 5-6 innings so we're pretty much screwed
  22. This POS cannot keep his pitches down, it's terrible GET THE BALL DOWN, OR EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE A HARD LINE DRIVE, IT'S THAT SIMPLE. Jesus Christ I'm pissed off right now
  23. 5-0 LOL Hey guys, I think I was over-confident a few days ago when I said we should win this division Detroit could easily pass us in the standings in about 2-3 weeks, no doubt. Not with this starting rotation or bullpen.
  24. Greinke gonna lock this one down guys, Clayton can't even get a swing and miss, the hits are gonna pile up today.
  25. Similar to Buehrle yesterday, 1st inning Mark was able to keep his pitches down, 2nd and beyond was batting practice Oh, Clayton Richard throws a ball away on an easy pitch to home to tag out a steal F***ing joke of a pitcher.
