QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2008 -> 02:07 PM) Alexei should be our leadoff hitter with Ocab behind him. or have alexei bat 2nd, either one would be better than what we have right now IMO i will admit i wanted to see swisher back at the top of the lineup but he's just not a good hitter for average

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2008 -> 01:49 PM) please don't let it be one of those days 3-0 to kotsay, wheels are basically off at this point unless we get lucky with a DP or something.

TBS the next two Sundays
QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 01:58 PM) That will be 3 TBS Sundays in a row since the Rays played last time. This means I get another blacked out game. imagine living in Illinois, and instead of getting the ILLINOIS TEAM (SOX), you got the MISSOURI TEAM (Cards) f***ing hilarious.

Sox vs Carmines
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 09:17 PM) We sure need something done differently. We can't afford this type of play at this point in the season. Our pitchers have allowed 27 runs in 3 games and we score 5. I watched tonights game on WGN and it was pretty pathetic. Buerhle got bounced around again and I mean he was hit hard. Sunday is a must win. Hopefully Floyd shows up unlike our last theee starters his 86-87mph isn't fooling anyone anymore, though i'm sure there are other issues w/ him right now as well

Sox vs Carmines
this team looks like they're just going through the motions against these top-end teams (boston and tampa specifically), they looked pretty bad against baltimore too on that 3rd game of the series) back to back to back games allowing 8 runs, they need to get their f***ing heads straight, this is bulls*** playing like they just wanna get it overwith, yeah you'll go far with that.

White Sox @ Red Sox 8-29
uribe played damn good D at 3rd base, let crede alternate at DH with Thome against lefties, you could also alternate Crede/Griffey at DH on Jim's days off... just throwing ideas around none of this will happen though edit: that wouldn't work, i think my sister hits left-handers better than Joe does.. blah. just a bad situation.

Loser, yo!
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) Well to be fair he has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, it wasn't exactly a case of Cy-Mays or Cy-Nonameasshat. Didn't really expect to win this one, lets just hope the offense shows up against Bowden tomorrow night. i won't disagree with anything you said. it was a bad matchup from the very beginning. allowed 10 HR all year, facing a team that lives and dies by the homerun i'm still upset with the lack of base hits, and overall lack of patience at the plate facing a guy who walks a ton of guys. our hitters always seem to be of the mindset that the pitcher is always going to strike them out unless they swing the bat. matsuzaka isn't one of those guys... need to have smarter at-bats. also i would've liked to have seen Javy have a good outing, he was just bad, then really really good, then absolutely brutal.. wtf is up with this guy.

Loser, yo!
