  1. And evryone will wonder who Joe Borchard was and what ever happened to him.. I'm just joshin', of course I'm rootin for a long, successful career from Joe B.
  2. Are you telling me that we couldn't have been successful at all this season with Jackson on the roster? Jackson was on team team April and May and we did pretty well then. Maybe I should have been more specific with the topic, but if you take 'least valuble' word for word, then my list would have included Borchard Munoz Grilli and Wright because they had less valure to the team than Mike Jackson. I was trying to get to who underperformed this season unexpectedly, which in turn cause the downfall of the team.
  3. Ah s*** dan, I had a couple of parapraphs typed up about Uribe/Rowand, but I tapped the wrong button and it got deleted. Like sucks sometimes :banghead Anyways, I will sum it up a little. Rowand had had every chance to help the team win in the earlier months, but he batted in the low .200s, while uribe was over .300 and got a ton of runs. The majority of Uribe's downfall came when Maggs and Frank were gone, the bulk of Rowand success came after injuries and too late. Sop after Thomas and Ordonez were gone, a surge by Rowand and a decline by Uribe are not going to affect the outcome of the season much so I hadw to look back to when we got most of our wins and who was the go to guy during that time. Anyways I had some good stats and such but I am stupid for accidentally deleting what I had written. :banghead
  4. I didn't include Jackson because the expectations on him wern't as high as others who didn't play well, which is also why I didn't include players like Borchard. Even though Joe shouldn't be batting under .200, he wasn't going to be key to the teams sucess, like Jackson.
  5. Thomas and Ordonez are on thie list because you could argue their individual injuries have hurt the team the most, but if you are considering individual performance only, the others are on the list. Also consider who did NOT live up to expectations, which was why I did not include any of the 5th starters, even though you ould make a case for Wright.
  6. When we were winning, Uribe was simply amazing. Of course he had Frank and Maggs to lean back on, but if we didn't have Juan, we might have been out of the race a lot earlier. Of course Rowand has has a great year as well, and he hasn't had Thomas and Ordonez in the lineup to help him win games, but the MVP should be about winning, and when we actually were winning, Uribe was the key catalyst. Very tough decision, but I suppose by process of emilination, it goes to Uribe. Of course his second half has been pretty bad, but I'm not sure exactly how much his play would have helped the team with so many injuries.
  7. This season is gonna be a wash, so I think its best that young players get experience for the future. Jackson may bhave been able to be a mentor, but his pitching was pretty bad for the most part.
  8. True. But if we didnt have Uribe in the first half, we might have been out of the race from the beginning. Rownad can't help thta he din't have the power hitters in the lineup, but to me, the MVP is about winning.
  9. Damn, I'm pissed I missed the game. I'll have to check it out on the highlights.
  10. Definetly Uribe. When Uribe was hot, the Sox were winning and if not in first place, in contention for it. Rownad has been amazing, but the sox are like 8 below...
  11. Windsor was a f'in stud in the CWS, I should get down to a KC cougars game and see if I can chat with him for a while.
