Interestingly enough, it has been Kenny who has kept things private, but Magglio ahs insisted on letting the media know what is going on. I wonder if Maggs knows that he is just telling us that what they are giving him is fair, but he just won't sign.

I dont know the whole story, so this is just an outside opinion. I see stuff like this in high school, and its a little weird to see adults doing this stuff. If somebody has a problem with me I just basicly ignore them, I don't go looking for information on them or anything crazy like that. Some people I guess will never be adults, which is why you can't judge people based on their age or anything else stupid for that matter.

This trade will be an intersting one to look at a couple years down the line. Maybe it works out, maybe it doesn't. I was personally in favor of the trade, but I want to see how Reed and Olivo will develop.

I for one will say that this probably should have been handled via PM. I don't even know the full story, but Tthis has the potential to get ugly and it would suck if people took this too far like I am hearing about.

The crowd gave Magglio a stand ovation before his first at bat yeasterday, and I can't say that he deseved it. He has continuously turned down offers from the Sox and it is clear that if we gave him what he wanted, he would be overpaid. He's no Vlad Guerrero, and he does not deserve as much money as him, especially on a team with a lower payroll. If it is true that he wants to play here that bad, he would understand that we dont have that much cash to give him, and if we were to pay him $14 mil a season, the surrounding team would suffer, and we would not be able to give money to other good players that could help Maggs win a WS ring. He pissed me off a lot over the time that he was injured because of how he made negotiations public. However, it is also clear that Maggs is one of the best players on the Sox, and he really is a special player. The Sox sucked a lot without him in the lineup, and I'm glad to have him back. Also, if we want to resign him, we should atleast give him the royal treatment whle he's here, and maybe he'll reconsider about signing with us. Giving him hostility will only make him want to leave more. Maybe he can understand that he is a fan favorite heer, and if he left to paly someplace else, nothing is guarenteed, and if he does not live up to their expectations, he will not be as respected and treated as well as he was here, and things have the potential to turn ugly for him. I don't know what to think anymore...
