I hoped that we would be able to finish the season strong and maybe end up at about 5 back, but we have really gone down the toilet. Hopefully this will make Ozzie and the team want to not let this happen next year. v_v

Actually, this could work out pretty good, depending if Gload can perform evryday, and Konerko's money is used wisely. Before this season, PK was MIA for a season and a half. Paulie can hit for power, but it doesn't seem he can create as many runs as other players. Also I really couldn't tell you much about Gload's speed, but its probably better than Kong's. Frank should be back in the lineup next year and he should be decent. I would be pleased with him as our main power hitter next year. Being a Home Run Ballclub hasn't won us the division 4 years and running. With the cash freed up by Konerko and Magglio, if he doesn't sign, I believe we have over $20 million to spend, plus any more budget cash we are given by JR. With $25-30 million approx., we could get 3 great players-- possibly a starter, reliever, and an outfeilder.

You are wrong, Tex. Clinton DID go after Bin Laden and ordered missile strikes at an Al Qaeda Camp where he was thought to be and also at a pant that supplied nerve gas to Al Qaeda. However people got on his ass for 'wag the dog' and claimed he was using it to cover up the Lewinski scandal. If we had just left the man's personal decisions alone, and let him concentrate on his work for the country, he might have just gotten Bin Laden. As proved by the 9/11 commission, Bush and his administration 'looked over' several bits of information that could have prevented the attacks. But 'could haves' don't matter, because we can't change what happened. It was too bad Bush could not have been a gentleman and apologized to the puublic for the mistakes he did make, because he sure as hell did make mistakes.

My Culpepper, Griffin, and Dillon picks are lookin pretty good. Too bad I have no outs or ends..

Of course there are some, but the point Edwards was trying to make was that if Cheney is trying to make it seem like our economy is in a GOOD state by mentioning a few internet auctioners (very small percent of total population), he is WAY out of line, because the economy is horrible, and such a small percent of the population is nowhere near close to making this a good economy. It is simply one 'profession' out of thousands, and even if it made a minimal impact on the economy's overall numbers, it is STILL terrible. Instead of Cheney making excuses, he should accept and admit the state of the economy.
