  1. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 09:57 PM) Honestly, overall, this PPV was better than Wrestlemania. Nothing beats that Michaels-Undertaker match, but all the matches tonight were beyond solid. Gotta give WWE credit for getting it right Orton goes over, clean, and is the new WWE Champion while finishing what he started and taking out each member of the McMahon family. I thought it shoulda happened at Wrestlemania but its better late than never. Edge ending with a victory over Cena to close out their feud was also great. Mainly because I hate Cena, but more so to solidify Edge as THE top performer on Smackdown. Another good choice.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 04:58 PM) Seriously, why did we go with Louis and Kinder when guys like Canfield and Cadogen were there? Both guys were projected to go anywhere from the 2nd-4th, but were there in the 7th. You would figure that by watching enough drafts people would understand that projections don't mean s***.. Its why superstar Rey Maualuga goes in Round 2 Its why there are always players that you see in the 5th or later and say to yourself "zOMG I saw a mock with them in the second how could we not draft them!?!?!?!" Duke Robinson was a 2nd round prospect in a LOT of mocks, dude fell like a rock. The only people who truly know player value are the people running these teams with the exception of Al Davis. That's why I try not to get up in arms about who my team drafts, its very easy to get caught up in "experts" mocks and be furious when you think your team reached or blew it by passing on someone.
  3. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  4. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 02:11 PM) It's been that way for about 10 years. I wouldn't hold out much hope. I meant going 0-fer in the games we don't HR Im well aware of this teams style of play
  5. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 02:03 PM) Can somebody pull this stat that may sound dumb but I would like to know what he Sox are hitting after the 6th inning in their losses. They seem to lose rather meekly. We are 9-2 when we hit a HR.. 0-7 when we don't Its HR or nothing so far this year, hopefully the trend doesn't last all year
  6. Why is there an ESPN crew with Brian Hoyer again? Is it not painful watching them keep showing him like he is some great prospect that fell?
  7. RIP Bea Arthur, thank you for being a friend
  8. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 05:56 PM) A couple thoughts on the draft......Vonte Davis is a stretch to be selected in the first round. I watched him alot the past two years and although he is really physically gifted he got burned plenty out there. He is gonna be more of a project then people think There is a reason they have position coaches in the NFL, I am not worried about them being able to get the best out of Vontae and I absolutely love the pick. We needed secondary, we got secondary. We have to face Moss and Owens twice a year, you take the best CB in the draft when he falls to your spot at 25. It was great value, and filled a need. I dont think he is going to be that much of a project, he needs to be coached up, and he will with this teams coaching presence. Oh, and we got Sean Smith which is also very kick ass.
  9. f*** yes, Vontae Davis There is still a load of talent left as well, either way, a major need for us
  10. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) Well, I guess that's why the Lions are the Lions. Pettigrew is a good player, but not a good selection for them. They have other, more important needs. Fine with me, though, since I'm a Bears fan. They pick 33rd, and some of the OT's are falling. And they took a tackle in round 1 last year, the draft isnt over and I think Detroit has done very well so far.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:44 PM) Huh...a tight end, what the f***. Dont forget they have the 33rd pick.. looks like some of those OT are slipping maybe they want one there
  12. I cant knock this. Best TE in the draft and one of the top overall players, Detroit having a solid day.
  13. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:40 PM) I think Maclin will be the best receiver in this draft. Fast, scored high on the wunderlich, elusive... I'm pissed he went to the E-Gals. Why did they have to trade up for this pick? Would the lions really have taken him at 20? yeesh that would have been ugly. Not necessarily the Lions, someone else could have tried to jump as well so when your guy is in your grasp you make the move.
  14. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) 1. Freeman put up weak numbers in a bad defensive league. 2. He completed less than 50% of his passes in 4 games last year. Not consistent at all. 3. Being a big body and having a huge arm means nothing if you dont have the head for the game. 4. The Bucs have a lot of holes on defense. I'd rather the Bucs addressed those issues. With either Leftwich or McCown passing, the Bucs have enough weapons with Winslow, Antonio Byrant, Ward and the other RBs to be competitive next season if the defense could get better. 1. Wrong. Numbers weren't weak at all. 2900 yards 20 TD 8 INT, 404 rushing yards 14 TDs. He accounted for almost 3500 yards and 34 TDs on a pretty bad team. 2. What about the 4 games he had over 70? Career comp% in the high 50's so I don't see what your issue is there. 3. You dont know he doesnt have the head for the game, thats yet to be seen. 4. They have a LOT of holes, so what does it matter.
  15. QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) The problem is as Young said on the air, his talent didn't translate to the field. Yeah at Kansas State where he had nothing around him Guy has all the tools you want in a QB, its up to Tampa to develop him now.. I liked it
  16. Ayers to Denver There you go Balta, still got a top rated DE while getting a RB they really wanted
  17. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) f*** me Whats your problem with Freeman? Top High School recruit, big body, huge arm I think its a smart move, especially for a team that has absolutely nothing on their roster unless you think Leftwich is gonna be reborn
  18. The Browns are just not good at trading down in drafts apparently
  19. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) His schtick got old for me 10 years ago. I'm still flipping channels for Erin Andrews' interviews, though. GIGGITY!
  20. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) Just an aside, but God bless the NFL network. Its heaven to watch the draft without having to endure Chris Berman! Whats wrong with Chris Berman? I prefer Kiper and McShay and I like Steve Young.. not a big fan of Keyshawn but I can tune him out.
  21. I voted for 10 because that was the highest option or else I would have picked 15-20 until they both retire This is a REALISTIC poll, and I will only give a realistic answer.. they would also go 82-0 every year as well, since were sticking with realism here.
  22. I love Cushing.. Glad he went to Houston so I can watch him every week
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) Well, on this one, I think their coach has made a mistake. That defense was awful last year. Their solution is to pass on a guy like Orakpo and grab a RB in the first? They needed a RB, they got a pretty good one.. Guys like Cushing and Maualuga are still on the board and they are about to pick again, if that was their only pick ide slam it. They can still grab a good player again here in a min. Maybe they didn't like Orakpo..
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) Because they really could have used the guy the Redskins took right after them who no one thought would drop out of the top 10. Obviously not, or they would have taken him
