  1. There’s virtually no chance they sell off if they stick in the 5 games back range. They will either stand pat or waste assets. It’s what they do.
  2. Baltimore 45-28 and currently in the playoffs and their entire roster cost less than Andrew Benintendi.
  3. If JR would hire someone from outside of his comfort zone, the White Sox GM job should be very attractive for an up and coming GM candidate. Outside of the general "There's only 30 of these jobs available" you would be stepping into the biggest payroll in a bad division. If you're good at your job you could dominate the central. It also allows you to showcase yourself for when JR inevitably dicks you around and you can leave to land a GM job with a better organization.
  4. Ugh, so Jose Rodriguez gets called up to ride the pine I see. What a s%*# lineup, thank god this is blacked out on MLBtv for me so I don't have to suffer through this.
  5. Giolito, Kelly, and hopefully Graveman all are moved for solid returns. Any other 1 year guys if it makes sense (Grandal, Middleton, Lopez, etc.) I would be perfectly fine waiting until the offseason to unload the other valuables.
  6. It doesn't matter, the White Sox or ANY AL Central team for that matter is not winning 4 straight series against very good teams no matter how hot they are at the time. Were not talking about an 88-90 win team, this is going to be a bad team coming out of this division.
  7. They're also significantly better than any team that will come out of the central this year.
  8. Yeah I get that, but if they were doing away with the current format to fit 32 teams I would hope that would change.
  9. Why on earth should two teams in the same city not be in the same division? That’s what makes the most sense. Cubs and Sox in the same division would be awesome.
  10. For sure, tired of hearing him yell on the mound.
  11. Was just coming to say this, what the hell was that
  12. So much hard contact off Lynn, they better keep scoring
  13. I was just about to ask when the last time Robert hit a HR was
  14. Well what else are you suppose to do with your marquee franchise record signing?
  15. And we still have 4 more years of watching this to go
  16. The White Sox are 15-11 VS the AL Central. 12-24 against everyone else. Go look at who we have beat over this 20-14 stretch. Tampa X1 Minnesota X2 Cincinnati X2 Kansas City X4 Houston X1 Cleveland X4 Detroit X4 LAA X1 NYY X1
  17. This is the worst part about it, honestly.
  18. I can answer that one for you without being a doctor. Its yes. If you cant plant your legs properly and create that hip rotation because of a knee, then yeah you will lose power.
  19. Did this really happen?
  20. As he should. If you think this team is going to go 60-41 you’re not living in reality. They are about to get buried anyways, we’re not playing Detroit level opponents the next few weeks.
  21. You guys realize that in order to steal one of these bright young minds from another organization it requires you to have an owner who prioritizes winning over everything else and will go out and get that guy to. We do not have that. We have the guy who is ok finishing below .500 and in 3rd/4th place as long as you were close in the end.
  22. 2019: 14 starts 2020: 12 starts 2021: 32 starts 2022: 32 starts 2023: 12 starts Seems to me the SSS numbers are what doesn’t belong. Over a full season of starts he’s been a good pitcher.
  23. Hard disagree here. This is a guy coming off a Cy Young worthy season who is controlled for 2 1/2 more years. He would absolutely still return a very nice package if traded now.
