  1. It will depend on how many suitors there are and who they are as well. Hopefully, it lines up right for us.
  2. Chapman is a bad human being who nobody wanted in the off-season when he could have been had for peanuts. He does not compare to a front of the rotation starting pitcher. I would expect to get more for Giolito than the Reds got for Mahle last year.
  3. Joe Kelly has a 2.77 FIP and can either be a 1 year rental or kept for an additional year at a reasonable price for a high end bullpen arm. There should be plenty of interest.
  4. To be fair, his 76 at bats weren't really that far off from the results of a lot of the regulars in the lineup. Like you said though, getting that control back was worth it alone.
  5. Yeah, I agree it was ridiculous. He went down there and performed though so I wouldn't be too worried about his confidence.
  6. Probably just cursed for firing Ricky after the 2020 season for no real reason.
  7. Yep, had a handful of backers on here as well. Dude is worthless.
  8. You’re right, it’s not the same situation as Rodon. The better phrasing should have been he won’t accept a QO from us if offered.
  9. If you can trade Giolito and 1-2 of the bullpen arms that are having strong seasons with low commitments to get some help for the future while also hanging around in this terrible division I would call that an absolute win/win and also a very likely scenario. So we need to rely on Banks, Scholtens, and Toussaint to fill in rotation spots if that happens? So what, were already doing that anyways.
  10. Why do people want to A's to stay in Oakland? Even when that team is good people still don't go to the games.
  11. I agree with you, I wasn't trying to say you were wrong. Probably shouldn't have quoted your post and just did a stand alone.
  12. White Sox get in a great spot to build some positive momentum against a very lousy A's team and and we have to spend two of the games with no true SP.
  13. You cant compare this to the men's tournament. Can FDU upset Purdue? Of course. Can FDU beat Purdue in a best of 3? 5? 7? Highly unlikely. Single elimination tournaments open the door for lesser teams to advance further than they probably should. Wining a series against a superior team is much more difficult.
  14. Any metric you look at will tell you that this team stinks. It would be a travesty to stand pat or move what little assets we have to try and polish this turd. Giolito and some of these bullpen arms have to be dealt. They wont resign Giolito, they wont offer him the QO, he cannot remain on this team past 8/1. If they are still able to somehow win tallest midget and get into the playoffs, great, enjoy that little playoff revenue. Whats best for this franchise moving forward is to get something for these guys instead of getting nothing.
  15. Mike Trout - No Gold Gloves
  16. Well unfortunately the pen has to pitch tomorrow so we will need Lynn to keep it under 7 today
  17. I would have more confidence in this if I didn't know Lynn was about to go back out there.
  18. The dreaded bases loaded no outs
  19. Well they are on pace to get about 7-8 more At Bats so well see
  20. You cant possibly bring him back, and at the same time who is going to pitch for this team next year? What a dumpster fire.
  21. Good strategy, bunt at Lynn odds are he wont be able to get to the ball and make an athletic play.
  22. This guy has got nothing Cant wait to get right in Oakland tomorrow when we throw **Checks Notes** Tanner Banks or Jesse Scholtens....
