Man do I admire them. They're a real baseball team, plain and simple. They remind me so much of those old teams that used primarily their own players from the minors and kicked some major ass. One thing I'd like to point out. I think early August, the Twins finally cooled off after their massive hot streak and planting us 7 or 8 games behind. It looked as though they were ready to go in a slump for the rest of the month. After about a week of bad baseball, they dug themselves out of that hole and just restarted another hot streak. While the Sox... they're slump got into their heads and they slumped for a whole month and then on. If only our team had the mental integrity. Not to mention Frank and Maggs.

True enough. I did say in my post that I'm not actually ROOTING for the other team, just basically not minding if they lose. If they finish 15 games under .500 and in 4th place, fine by me. Higher draft choices for us. It is a giant crapshoot. Like how the Padres look pretty screwed with Matt Bush (Mr. Alcoholic), however, taking solace in the fact that you got a higher draft choice isn't a bad thing. I'm just watching the Sox right now out of my love for baseball. I'm analyzing more instead of just getting pissed at the players. If a pitcher strikes out one of our hitters, I see what kind of pitch the pitcher used to trick him rather than saying, "WTF YOU MOMO YOU STRIKED OUT!!!"

I'd rather have the Twins/A's/Angels win it than the Yankees or those annoying BoSox fans.

Quade, you can root for the Sox to lose and still be a diehard. 99.9% of Sox fans know this season is toast. What's for the good of the team is getting high draft picks now. I still want to see them win, but losing has no effect on me and shouldn't on you. IF they become 10 games under, that's absolutely peachy. You wouldn't be called a non-Sox fan because it's for the good of the team.

I vote to bring back the dips*** smiley. MOst times I've seen it used is when people are making fun of themselves when they say something wrong/stupid. Like it would go Me (Dips*** smiley under it) Also, people can just easily call someone a dips*** than click a button to have some little yellow dude with a sign call them it. Aboloshing the dips*** smiley does nothing to enforce this rule. Just my two cents.

Top 5, maybe. But with Ichiro hitting the daylights out of the ball as usual, there'll be no batting title for AROW. Of course, he'll get the team Batting Title, whether or not that's a great accomplishment is yet to be determined.
