  1. Beastly with a classic line... He had me going!
  2. Good one, Beastly, you had me going for a second!
  3. Hahahaha, all the preps in my school listen to some real craptacular music. Dave Matthews Band and Kenny Chestnut, to name a few.
  4. Kicking it off, my favorite prep, WHarris1 in the thread about Jose Valentin and a bunch of people yelling at someone for calling him Valentine.
  5. Exactly what I said earlier in the thread. Thank you for giving me my signs back. Now if I may go on... Me :dips*** Me Oh, by the way, just to break the new rules.... http://www.thewebs***e.co.uk/idiot.htm
  6. Shaddup ya dolt. Pertaining to the actual thread: I would rather give Uribe a shot. You're correct when you say Jose should be gone. He's just the typical home run or nothing hitter on this team, and we can't deal with that anymore. Give SS to Uribe or sign a Free AGent.
  7. You watch your back to stinkin' popular guy!!! Just kiddin', you know you're my guy Wharris.
  8. I never knew you during your "wsc days" and never will. Call it a good thing, I only know the Beastly of today and he's a fine person. Your change is so obvious that some people have told you to "cut the bulls***" or whatever.
  9. Jose should just add an E to the end of his last name. 4 years and people still don't get it. :headshake
  10. Just more time to let the youngin's play. Who thinks this is real, or just a ploy to shut him down for the year?
  11. I'm guessing that CS1 is a prep and Beastly is one of those kids that hates most preps. (Me) COme together, you're both Sox fans and mature enough.
  12. Well, you don't honestly expect to find some adults talking about their school schedule in a School thread, do you?
  13. I don't. It's just the internet. We need electricity, gas, water, and sewer. We don't need internet. If we in some day in the future need the internet to live, then sure, I'd call it a basic infrastructure, but not yet.
  14. My day goes something like this.... 5:40 AM the alarm goes off and I swear at it for a minute and then put it on sleep or 10 minutes. Wake up at around 5:50 AM and quickly jump in the shower. Get out, have either Pop Tarts or Rice Krispies, depending on my mood, then I leave for school at 6:50, even though it starts at 7:30!!! Reason being I couldn't afford to buy a parking space ($200, ripoff) so a bunch of people park on a street by the school, and by 7:10 there are no more spaces left on the street. Go see Trillian for a few minutes, then go get on a bus for 20 minutes to take an off campus course. I usually sleep during this time. Get there, take an easy as hell class because I'm so interested in it, Computer Tech. The teachers really cool, she gave me a monitor. What we do in this class is basically just work with computer hardware and networking and stuff. Hop back on the bus and either sleep or do leftover homework for another 20 minutes. Get back in what for most people is the middle of block 2 (10:00), and go to Tech Math class for 45 minutes. We just work in KeyTrain in that class. Easy as hell. He let's us listen to music. He swears too, if that means anything for a teacher. Then comes the boring part of my day. Get out of that class and go directly to American Literature, which kinda sucks because I have no friends in that class, but it's easy to make more friends. The teacher is ok, nothing bad nothing special, we did get lollipops today though. Oh yeah, in the middle of that I have lunch. Then to my last class American History, awesome teacher, however, from now till December we get to hear some newb student teacher and the real teacher won't even be teaching us. I hope he's a good teacher.. Then leave class, go see Trillian, go to my car, maybe have a smoke (depends on my mood) then either go home or to work. Woo.
  15. Which comes to the ultimate question... would you sacrfice Chicago and the greater Chicago area to tornados for a White Sox World Series win?
  16. Well now, that's different. A fire department is something you need, it can be a matter of life or death. Internet is... well, just internet. Paying for fire department I have no qualms over, but if I didn't use the internet and had to pay for it in taxes... well that would suck. I would hope they'd implement a "whoever uses for it gets taxed for it" process. But of course, I don't live in Philly, so I shouldn't care at all.
  17. Florida is getting absolutely hammered this year. What were the plates thinking when they aligned themselves like this??? Prayers go out once again to those in Florida. This sucker is massive.
  18. Jeez. Picking your location on internet reliability. That's insane. It'd be strange, having Internet reliablility and water quality (among other things) all help factor in the decision. The problem is, not everyone would want internet access or even have a computer, so to have to pay an internet bill without using it would suck. I guess if they made it so that they could tell who's computers were using bandwidth or not... but really all that is is internet access without the installation. Not to mention wireless isn't as reliable as hard ground cable. If there's a storm in your area, you're almost certain to lose connections and have downloads ruined due to the lightning.
  19. Ohhh I thought that one of the golf kids was driving members there and you didn't use the buses. Haha, that's a pretty funny experiance.
  20. School started 10 days ago for me. It sucks having those 45 minute per class, 8 period per semester classes. (Or is it 8 period every year?) Block scheduling is so much better. Less homework per semester, since you're only in 4 classes per semester. Not to mention if you take an off campus class, like I do in Kaneland, you get some down time in a bus or something to just do your homework or nap. I get 40 minutes every day to sleep or do homework, and it's great. Makes my nights a little easier.
  21. Wow. That is pretty cool. Only problem I could see is people starting to carry laptops everywhere they go and the bandwidth would get used up like no tomorrow. I doubt it happens, though. If so, Philadelphia would earn the monikor, "The Internet City".
  22. How many of you said yes?
  23. Foriegn exchange students rule. One particular one I remember was Edvin from Latvia. He was a great person. Then he had to go back home. I remember one day I didn't shower before school and he goes, "YOU DIDN'T SHOWER, DID YOU!?"
  24. Unless they sign a proven closer, this sucks. I don't want them to look for another flash in the pan closer that will throw 90 mph meatballs to Carlos Beltran and stuff.
