I 2nd that one! It's awesome to see ND totally embarrased on national tv. ND needs a few more losing seasons and then hopefully their mystique will finally be gone. I'm not counting on that happening soon, but hey, I can hope.
Every day later in September the Sox are in 1st the better. Let's just leave it at that. With that in mind the last 2 days have been complete successes with the Royals not gaining any ground themselves. Since our schedule is clearly harder than the Twins every day that we can cancel out it's a plus. If we run these scenarios through our heads we are just wasting our time. Things can change in a day in this race.
Twins up 2-0 top 9. The Tribe had 2 on and 1 out, but couldn't score. Lohse left in the 8th.
KC up 5-0 and threatening for more, top 8. Jamey Wright with a shutout going.
There were 0 outs. It's not like it was do or die. The decision paid off because Olivo is still in at catcher and we got the run. I don't see how you can argue with the results.
Bad news from Cleveland and Detroit. As bighurt said Guzman hit a solo shot to give Minnesota a 1-0 lead in the top of the 6th and KC has added 2 to their lead. KC is up 4-0 in the top of the 5th.
Good to see Bartolo rolling. I think the hitters will be able to scrap a few runs tonight. That's probably all we are going to need if Bartolo can keep this up.

This sets the tone for what in essence will be an Ohio St.-Michigan Big Ten Championship Game. I know that's a long way ahead and Ohio St. probably won't stay undefeated until then, but the thought of that is pretty cool. Oh and f*** ND.
I didn't say you were rooting for them to lose. Just quit b****ing about a 1st place team. People are so mad that one could think the team is out of contention. I just don't get it.
You make it sound like a good thing that you think the Sox will lose. You are not a Sox fan, at all. You have to have faith, to give up while the team in 1st shows that you are not a fan and you are showing tendancies of being a fair weather fan.
Even if we sweep the Twins, they will win more than 84 games. For them to win 84 they have to finish 6-9 (6-6 against the Indians and Tigersif you think we will sweep them). The Sox can still win the division, but the Twins will win more than 84.
