Like I said it's probably more of a moral boost to show that management believes in them still. If they wanted to improve their team they would have gotten a pitcher, but they haven't gotten that done.

That'd be nice. I'd like to get Jarvis, but Hummel has been hitting well of late. Hopefully it's not a huge pitching prospect because that would be quite the price to pay.

Clausen looks like a good pitcher. ERA under 3 in AAA, so maybe he can turn this trade into not just a buyout.

Ha, that's funny. The Cubs are going after their former players. ESPN Insider also said they are interested in Matt Stairs, why I don't know. I remember Cubs management hinting at a trade at this position when they said Hee Sop was going down to AAA.

Nah, I don't think so. Suppan is dealt, Escobar won't be dealt (according to Jason Stark), there hasn't been any news on Jarvis, and Ponson is likely headed elsewhere. Just a guess.

Jiminez has talent, but he just needs to figure that out in his head. I don't think anybody can deny that if he was a smarter player he could be a solid player. That alone will give him multiple chances.

The Royals have looked brutal this series. I'm thinking another win will put them into a tailspin until they get something to get excited about (like Sweeney coming back).

Borchard is 24, turns 25 in November. I wouldn't worry about his age. He would have been in the bigs this year if it weren't for his struggles this year. He even got called up anyway, but he was expected to be on the team longer this season.

All I have to say is

While I respect what they do, it's not always like that. Sundays most of the baseball games are already done so it's easier. Monday and Thursday usually have lighter schedules for baseball. Also, when baseball is in the offseason it's easier. Baseball is the only sport that has that many games ending around the time of SC airing. Football is done earlier and basketball and hockey don't have as many games per day. Either way, it's very impressive. They just picked a busy day to do it.

Did anybody watch it last night? I thought it was pretty cool, but I had more interest because I take a sportscasting course at school.

Reed is at a higher level so I'll say he is the better prospect until Nanita can hit .400 in AA. Both should probably get promoted to be honest. Reed just got promoted to AA though, so I can see where the Sox may be hesitant to move him up again.
