She’s proven herself to be awful. There’s nothing merit-based about a person coming up to the majors, be it in St or reg season, and consistently blowing calls. She missed an obvious check swing tonight, too….wasn’t even close. She/he/they/ are fucking awful at their job, man. The Twins were out of challenges. The crew chief thought another look was warranted. How often do we see that happen?

So she just shits the bed in the majors? That crew chief review absolutely screwed us. And I can’t help but feel that wouldn’t have been called if not for her being at 1b.

I saw her in ST and the teams were f’n livid with her when she was behind the plate. There was another game earlier this season where she was f’n up balls and strikes, too. Merit my ass.

Because it’s that shitty female umpire who has no business being an MLB ump. There’s some irony to Sam being called last week for intentionally dropping a line drive and then this happening tonight.

Sometimes a guy just needs to do his job. That s%*# is on Fedde to get through 3 2/3 today. Brutal schedule coming up so can’t burn through the pen to baby your 4/5 starter who is no longer an MLB caliber pitcher. You lose the game you lose the game…bailing him out there could cost you multiple games due to a depleted pen.

Is one of the runner’s legs longer than the other? In no normal route was Sam in the way. It was bushleague bullshit and the fucking umps awarded it (after JUST fucking Sam for what could be called bushleague bullshit (if the drop was intentional)).

Glue guys have places on MLB rosters, as long as their production is positive. Both Chase and Sam, early in their careers, are showing themselves to be competent MLB ball players. We aren’t in the locker room, but even from the outside it’s clear that the two of them are part of the team’s core personality. We made fun of Hawk for his TWTW theory, but there is something to it. If they can’t carry their weight, I’m with you. But it’s clear Getz and team value bringing in the right people as much as they value bringing in the right players.
