  1. Awful. Nibble, nibble, nibble until he's forced to throw a beach ball down the middle of the plate.
  2. Stacy CLEARLY out of his element but he's definitely trying hard and is still enjoyable to listen to.
  3. I'm very encouraged both by this approach at the plate pre-injury, as well as the fact he's been able to build upon that success since coming back. That said, it's incredibly premature to be asking questions about him being one of the best White Sox of all time. The tools are there but there have been a ton of guys who have come into this league as 5-tool threats who just drifted out of the game without ever reaching their potential. I'm seriously excited for what he could do for this franchise but let's pump the brakes a bit on the GOAT talk until he plays an entire season or two.
  4. Yo has literally been the hottest hitter on this team over the past 2 weeks.
  5. Eh, whatever. Not happy and there are obviously problems with this team's approach, both in the batter's box and in the pen. That said, tomorrow is the last game of this absolutely BRUTAL August schedule and we get to head back home on Friday. These guys are pros, just gotta hope they can figure it out. There's simply too much talent on this roster and too many good outings from our SP to be under .500 since the break.
  6. Protect mode in a 3-1 count. Looked like Leury protecting in an 0-0 count.
  7. He probably threw less than 15 pitches last night. He was definitely available.
  8. Scouting report against the Sox pen is clearly wait for the heat and go the other way. Just every game, we see teams doing it. Need to attack the top of the zone with the heat more often and throw more breaking balls for strikes instead of chases.
  9. Just start going with the softball rover in play when Bummer is in. Getting out of hand!
  10. nearly 30 pitches. this is yet ANOTHER reason Kopech shouldn't have been pulled.
  11. The only hole in the Sox lineup when healthy is backup C and MAYBE a part-time DH if you're not comfortable platooning some combination of Vaughn/Engel/Eloy covering RF, LF and DH. You don't trade valuable assets in year 1 of a multi-year championship window for bench players, especially for what it would cost for a reliable power bat that can play the field when needed. I'm frustrated as all hell, too, but injuries aren't Rick Hahn's fault. ETA: You could say we could've used a second baseman at the deadline, an upgrade over Hernandez, but I'm struggling to find an option outside maybe Kris Bryant, who would have cost the farm.
