QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Another benefit of not having Hawk/DJ. Every broken bat gives them an excuse to suggest broken bats are dangerous, and how they'd rarely break back in their day. Every time there's a broken bat for the rest of the year while I'm watching, I'm going to post that.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 06:17 PM) Sure its frustrating . Nothing in life worth having is ever easy. Watch. Enjoy . Keep it in perspective . I'm an Iowa State Cyclone fan. Being a White Sox fan is still pretty damn easy compared to that.

Why do I keep coming back to this team? They make me hate them so much sometimes, yet seeing that 05 trophy makes it slightly better.

Mother Nature vs. State of Iowa
So on CNN, they are essentially trying to paint the residents of Iowa as dumb for not having flood insurance, and I'm guessing they're talking about the residents of CR. There's no reason for those people in the 500 year flood plain to have flood insurance for something that has a .2% chance of happening in any given year. I think any Iowans would agree with me that there's a much better chance of having your home f***ed up by a severe thunderstorm in any given year. To say that these people were unprepared because they didn't have flood insurance in the flood plains in Cedar Rapids, especially those outside the 100 year plain, is simply ludicrous.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) Actually, we do blow. Like I said, we sweep teams like KC and PIT, and all is fine for the one's that don't realize that in about 24 hours we're just going to get totally out-managed and out-played by a team better then us. Can't we ever play like a perfect game against a team 10x better then us, and come out victorious? Never mind, too much to ask for. There aren't that many teams out there that much better than us that we've played this year, so any loss is going to hurt that much more.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 03:13 PM) I wish we would have pinch hit Ozuna for the pitcher and have him bunt Anderson over, and go from there. Instead, we have guys going for the 2 run homer and we blow another runner at second, nobody out situation. It's just bad fundamentals right now. Could someone tell me the harm in bunting the runner over???? I'll agree with you, I would have rather seen Pablo there....not necessarily bunting, but moving him over at least.
