Charlotte sends Sweeney and Reynoso to DL
QUOTE(Jim Spencer @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 04:52 PM) Casey has been playing leftfield on and off since they signed Craig Wilson and Jason Bourgeois has been thrown in CF for a couple of weeks now. The sore wrist for Sweeney could explain why he's been in a Slump lately. I know I'm probabley the only person who cares, but whats wrong with Reynoso??? No idea. And yes, you might be the only person that cares.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) So that I can look for it in the future, where are you getting these updates, Heads? The Secret Scrolls. I got the Bham related transactions from their media guy, the Warthogs ones from the game notes they send me, and the Kanny ones from the game notes they put on their website.

Charlotte sends Sweeney and Reynoso to DL
QUOTE(BearSox @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) any word on whats wrong with Sweeney? Also, I think it was said that Lucy and Collaro are getting promoted to AAA. Also, is Brian Anderson still active? If so, why? Isn't he done for like the rest of the season? I thought that was NSS guess. They could use another pitcher more than they need another catcher, but if Lucy is coming up like another poster said, they still need an OF badly.

Adam Ricks promoted to Charlotte
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 07:36 PM) Where are you finding this info? I'd love to know the source. Can't find it anywhere. I assume the other player is Collaro? So, now the Knights have 4 catcher. But, Ricks is playing 3B today, and the starting catcher is some dude named Ryan Smith who is hitting .108 (and who has started the last two games). WTF is going on down there? An OF would make sense. Ricks is a utility dude. He's listed as catcher but can play 3B and 2B as well.

Floyd Replaces Contreras in Rotation
- 8/1 Games
Ricks isnt a non prospect but hes not much of a prospect at this point. It'd be nice to see him do well though. He was drafted as a 2B out of the U, and he's been bouncing around the infield ever since. I have no idea how his catcher D is.- 8/1 Games
Mud Hens Edge Knights Toledo Takes Game One of Series 2-1 FORT MILL, S.C. – August 1, 2007 – Charlotte returned home from their longest road trip of the season, falling to Toledo 2-1. The Knights were held to five hits on the night while the Mud Hens collected 10 hits. One of those hits belonged to Adam Ricks who was playing his second game of the day. Ricks was called up from Single-A Winston-Salem following a day game with Salem. Ricks started behind the plate, going 2-4, with a run and RBI. Following the game, he made the 79 mile trip down I-85 to Charlotte to enter the Knights game in the 2nd inning to pitch hit for Ryan Sweeney. Antistacio Martinez (4-5, 4.14) picked up the win for the Mud Hens going 6 innings striking out nine. Shaun Babula (3-3, 4.59) took the loss for the Knights. The three game series continues Thursday at 7:15.- Floyd Replaces Contreras in Rotation
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 09:38 PM) I don't think rest is his problem. He has taken to nibbling at the corners, and working from behind because of it. Any major leaguer will kill a pitch when he knows what is coming. His catchers haven't been helping him much either.- 2007 Post ASB White Sox Catch-All Thread
I could see Count placed on the DL, with MacDougal recalled.- Floyd Replaces Contreras in Rotation
I wouldn't mind a DL stint for Danks just to give him a rest.- White Sox vs. Yankees, 8/01/07 (L)

HILARIOUS- Floyd Replaces Contreras in Rotation
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 09:01 PM) Uh, so how much do we have to see before we've seen what he's made of? Personally, I give him three more outings like the ones he's had -- excluding the 1-2-3 inning in relief -- before I let Haeger get some work in. His numbers over the last 90-some innings tell me just about everything I need to know, especially in conjunction with his work here so far. You let Gavin start for the next month. Haeger's sucked pretty badly tonite. He doesn't deserve to be in the rotation. - 8/1 Games
