White Sox vs. Astros, 6/9/07 (L)
Nice nab from Terrero. But can he get a hit today?

I have no problem with Gooch trying to stretch that.

So Fields hits at least two home runs today, right? Kalapse, any chance that you can expand your contract page to include all the guys?

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) What the hell is joint compound? What form does it come in? Liquid? Where do I get it? Will it ruin the paint on the car? Called a car wash who said they can remove it, but of course wouldn't tell me what they'll use cuz then I could buy the stuff myself and they couldn't charge me to do it. It comes in big 5 gallon buckets, and it's basically glorified mud. I have no idea if it'll ruin the paint. My boss said he was using some in his kitchen and accidentally got it on some wallpaper. He then noticed it sucked out the moisture and the wallpaper started to come off. We used it again at work yesterday and it worked like a dream. We basically spread it on and let it sit for 10 minutes, and the wallpaper peeled off. We then washed the stuff off.

I don't think MacDougal is done at the ripe old age of 30.

I'd believe that other teams would be interested in them as well. MacDougal's hurt, so he's not THAT bad, and Aardsma is still young with a power arm.

AJ suspended 1 game
QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 12:45 PM) Yanks game thursday night. Thing is, I'm almost positive it was a K swinging. I don't know why he was arguing. He was arguing a pitch earlier in the atbat.

Owens is not on the DL. Yet, at least.

Hey Ozzie....
QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 12:47 AM) Sadly, he would be. Terrero is ten times the player Anderson is (or at least has a career OPS 70 points higher). Ozzie was right. I don't know what you've been watching, but all four have been s***. Terrero has been swinging as hard as he can every time.

Hey Ozzie....
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 12:32 AM) The only time this line-up has looked decent recently were the two games that Owens got on base, with his no walks. Anderson or Gload playing would make this team either a fifth place or 3rd place team, but definitely not a 90 win squad. Even the Royals see the writing on the wall and are already thinking about trading him, Reggie Sanders, Emil Brown, Sweeney, Berroa, etc. Having a Gload, Mackowiak or Catalanotto type leading off would be "okay," but I hardly think the Tigers or Indians would be cringing in their boots. If the "magic cure" this year was keeping Gload and playing him nearly everyday, there's not much I can say about how far we've come from winning the World Series...and both Gload and Anderson have suffered injuries now too. I doubt Anderson would be worse than Owens/Sweeney/Terrero in the 3rd OF spot.

Owens Hurt
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 11:50 PM) "he might not be good at baseball, but he can run the bases!" Sort of like, you might not be that good looking, but all the parts are there and in the right place. BTW, if this requires a roster move, expect Sweeney to come back up. I doubt they call up an injured Anderson or Podsednik.

Owens Hurt
I love how the only guys that provide us with any speed get hurt. Owens is no good to us at all without his speed, as he can't hit, get on base, play defense or throw the ball at all.

Strained right hammy. I suppose if we must have a s***ty season, we might as well get it all out of the way at once.
