  1. QUOTE(quickman @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 07:47 PM) doesnt matter Pie is the better prospect and I would trade owens for him right now if I had the chance. I wouldn't mind trading Gustavo Molina for Jorge Posada either.
  2. I still like you jim.
  3. Wow, Jeter Christ coulda been hurt.
  4. As we wrap up the 2007 edition of the FutureSox Top 25, this year's top prospect has a rather unique distinction. Every one of the top five prospects was drafted within the first two rounds of the draft, and all five have the potential to make an impact on the major league roster this year. MORE
  5. Anderson out of the Knights lineup again. Fields back. Gonzo not starting/
  6. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 04:31 PM) WHO REPLACED A GON ON THE ROSTER?????????????????????????????????? He's on both the Charlotte and Sox roster....
  7. QUOTE(29thandPoplar @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Well if the guy is correct then this move makes sense. However that means they need to outright a guy off the 40 man roster. Adding both Prinz and Bukvich puts them at 41. Maybe they got Andy Gonzalex through waivers if he was indeed sent down. that would mean he was outrighted off the 40 man. According to Charlotte's roster, he's still on the 40 man.
  8. Well, that would still leave Gonzo's spot.
  9. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) Anderson and Fields for David Weathers? The sad thing is that a trade that bad in principle wouldn't even hurt the Sox in long run since neither guy projects to have impact in the bigs anyway... That would be insanely retarded.
  10. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 09:32 PM) No, you didn't. Who would serve you? They have to think you have a fake id. Seriously. Come to think of it, Jason did say he had to convince the cops not to throw his pal in jail... I was out at my uncle's farm. My aunt and uncle had been drinking. So says my aunt, she says "Alex! We're getting you s***faced tonight!" She made me a bunch of screwdrivers.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) I bet that is what is happening. You knew Tomas was coming as soon as we signed him, Ozzie can't resist. If it's Wilson that's ok, and that wouldn't surprise me either. We acquired him via trade.
  12. QUOTE(29thandPoplar @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) Anderson has been DH'ing a bit because his shoulde is sore so I doubt he gets called up. But in the state things are in right now, nothing would surprise me. The only reason I could see Anderson come up is as a defensive replacement late in games right now, although I suppose we have Terrero for that. Spose it oculd be Tomas Perez or Craig Wilson too.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 09:08 PM) I noticed that...but neither did Fields as well. True. Maybe we'll send down a pitcher too and call both up. EDIT: Nah, that'd be dumb.
  14. AGon showed up on Charlotte's roster. BA didn't play today for Charlotte. Any connection?
  15. Did I miss something?
  16. Why would you trade any of them? MacDougal would be the only one that might be moveable due to an affordable deal (at least for good Mac). Thornton is a great deal, and Jenks isn't going anywhere.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 2, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) The one thing about Fizer was he could always score and with ease. The problem was he was poor defensively and a bit undersized and the squad had Elton Brand. Overall it was just a bad situation. However, if he's healthy I know he can score when on so I wouldn't have a problem (I also remember him being a bit of a black hole once he got the ball). He was stronger than a lot of guys in college, and he was more nimble than the guys bigger than him. He had to expand his game in the NBA, whereas he didn't have to pop out much at ISU. I also really believe he thought the pro game would be easier than it was.
  18. I got really s***faced last nite.
  19. Pft, I so told Jason about Egbert.
  20. Just don't takke JL MC 206 at Iowa State.

I could swear that bottom pic is of Willie Harris.
  23. Owens still isn't a CF, but he was our most ready Of and it's nice to see him do well. If we insist on a Podsy LF, he's not a bad option.
  24. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2007 -> 07:12 PM) Or Egbert? LOL. Egbert's in today's release. He was originally like #12 on our list when we put it together in March.
  25. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 1, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) He certaintly has talent. I'll wait until DLS reaches Birmingham and replicates success before becoming too excited. He's still got time to make the FS Top 5. As long as Jason's in charge.
