Aaron Cunningham Traded to Zona for IF Danny Richar
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 16, 2007 -> 04:05 PM) That was actually my biggest fear when I received a message on my phone telling me Cunningham was dealt. I was so scared Kenny traded him for some old veteran reliever or some old crappy outfielder. Than I came on to see it was for Richar and I was a lot more happy (since it was a youth for youth move and this youth filled a more immediate need...albeit OF is obviously a dire freaking need). The Sox and AZ have a very good relationship so you never know, this deal could have came about as part of discussions for another deal (say Kenny was working on a Dye deal but they couldn't agree just yet, however during the discussions the Sox got very itnerested in Richar and bit on this initially and told the Dbacks they could further discussing things cause I do think the Sox could have some interest in some of the Dbacks OF prospects). You're welcome. I think this just means that the Sox don't feel that they can re-up with Iguchi, or have found so through talks. I hope we can move Gooch for a package of talent.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 11:13 PM) How come we don't have one of these by now? Went to the I-Cubs and Memphis Redbirds game tonight. Lots of Cards fans there. The stadium is really nice, better than Wrigley. Rick Ankiel hit a bomb to RF off of Ryan O'Malley. He also took one deep to center but it was caught right at the wall. It's amazing how far this guy has come. Troy Percival pitched the 8th with a 3 run lead. Gave up a lead off single to Ronny Cedeno, who stole second, and almost got tagged out after he wandered off the base dusting himself off not calling a time out. Percival had a couple of K's, and he was consistently around 89 MPH topping out at 91. Cubs lose 4-1. :fthecubs Yeah, I was impressed by the stadium as well.- Gio doesn't make start <6/15 Games>
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) If he was getting called up to AAA, would they pull him from a start? I could see if it were to the majors, but why screw up his pattern? Well, I should say he didn't make his start.- Gio doesn't make start <6/15 Games>
