  1. That could have been a lot worse right there. One more, Jose. It's pretty f***ing hard to be pissed at you right now.
  2. That was the right move Joe. Again, ¿Double play, por favor?
  3. Apparently Giambi has a strike zone roughly the size of a deck of playing cards. ¿Double play, por favor?
  4. HA! Dumb Yankee fan. Jeter coulda scored on that.
  5. Way to get back in time, CSN.
  6. How long til Yankee fans want our relatively cheap 3B instead of theirs?....LOL
  7. Let's go for 7 pitch innings. YEAH YERMAINGUY
  8. So, who wants to guess our CF has a great defensive series, prompting the NY media to go a little nuts over his glove? Then again, Mack will probably start tomorrow.
  9. I know the top 5 teams are right. Both the Pioneer and Appy Leagues have 35 player roster limits.......so even though I have sent out requests, I'm guessing there's no real need for a DL with 35 player teams. Some lineups may be a little off too, but they change so damn often. Enjoy.
  10. Anderson + heralded lefty = good night for Brian
  11. I seriously doubt we see anything out of Heath besides a relief role.
  12. If I know the UNI QB, and I DO, he'll beat the Salukis. He's also good at poker and has a weak spot in his heart for Tourney Time.
  13. I could care less if a newspaper in Chicago covers the Sox. All that should matter to the real fans is that trophy.
  14. to San Diego. Now in Mobile (AA).

By Liotta rocked you must've meant that he sucked, and unbelivably hard at that.
  16. Wait, I thought KC already said they'd forfeit to give Detroit a big lead in the division?
  17. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) WARNING: SMALL SAMPLE SIZE! Seriously, a month and a half's worth of stats means almost nothing. And it's more like 5 weeks than a month and a half. And Rowand's numbers in June were still better than Anderson's. A month and a half is a pretty good time period to see where a player is trending.
  18. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 06:42 PM) Rather than cherry-picking a week and a half of Anderson's July stats, I'll say that the Rowand who is hitting .264 with .434 SLG is a much better bet over the course of this season than Anderson's .192 BA/.324 SLG. That said, I don't see the point in bringing Rowand back and agree that Anderson is the better long-term option. Cherry-picking? What about the player who has gotten worse over the last month and a half or the one that's getting better?
  19. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) This might not be too bad of a deal if it were Vazquez for Rowand straight up... I mean yes AROW is struggling but we all know he is capable of getting hot... and lets face is Vazquez has hardly any value because of that awful contract he has... If we can get AROW, dump Vazquez, and not have to pay any of his contract then I take that deal in a second. However we'd have to make a seperate trade for bullpen help... and no deal on Mack... So you're anti Brian this week?
  20. I don't interpret it as a slur but a reminder that people need to watch what they say. Also, if stuff like this annoys you, add the person to your ignore list. We don't want to have to deal with this crap.
  21. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 04:14 PM) That may possibly have been true at one point a while back, but its nonsense to believe its so now. Nonsense. Completely. It's nonsense that you believe that. They are trying to get viewers. They're doing it by attracting one of the biggest fanbases in America. The Cubs are simply more popular and have a bigger fan base than the Sox.
  22. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 04:00 PM) I'll bet he doesnt either. But he still got an email from me. Your assertion that the SOX dont attract "enough attention" is one of those false-hoods that in itself, keeps perpetuating nonsense beliefs by a clown like Ross Greenburg. Im going on the notion that Greenburg is LAZY and is missing the real story. There are, especially NOW, as many SOX fans as there are fans of that other team. Thats whats so hard to understand about this. The continued ignoring of a better story. There are more Cubs fans than Sox fans and it's ridiculous to believe otherwise.
