I wanted to deal Jon after 05......right now, we can't afford to put BMac in the rotation after this year if we still haven't gotten solid BP help.

Our fate in the Central is going to come down to how we play against Detroit, Cleveland and Minnesota. Against the central: Detroit: 16-7 (0-3 vs. Sox) (5-2 vs. Cle) (7-2 vs. Minny) (4-0 vs. KC) Sox: 16-8 (3-0 vs. Det) (2-3 vs. Cle) (5-2 vs. Minny) (6-3 vs. KC) Cleveland: 12-12 (2-5 vs. Det) (3-2 vs. Sox) (3-0 vs. Min) (4-5 vs. KC) Minny: 7-17 (2-7 vs. Det) (2-5 vs. Sox) (0-3 vs. Cle) (3-2 vs. KC) KC: 10-17 (0-4 vs. Det) (3-6 vs. Sox) (5-4 vs. Cle) (2-3 vs. Min) Minnesota sucks in division. Cleveland has blown it agains Detroit and KC. The Sox aren't far away from having a winning record away from everyone in the Central. Detroit's going to have to take the division away from the Sox. It's not just there for the taking.

So I used Excel to see how often players score when they are on base. I used all hits except for home runs (not hard to score), and I couldn't find a place that kept track of when people got on base due to errors. Includes singles, doubles, triples, walks and hit by pitch, which really should cover jsut about everything except for errors. Iguchi 63.16% Thome 60.32% Anderson 55.56% Podsednik 54.10% Gload 50.00% Crede 47.83% Konerko 47.62% Dye 47.50% Ozuna 40.00% Uribe 34.48% Pierzynski 33.96% Widger 25.00% Mackowiak 19.35% Cintron 16.67% I find it amazing that Anderson is so high in the 9 hole when he is far and away above Uribe and above Podsednik. I guess that could have to do with Pods CS. I wasn't really trying to prove anything with this, but it's kinda interesting.

The one thing about Anderson is he's not taking his bad atbats to the field. Uribe is. That and Brian can draw a walk.
