  1. So Kansas @ Iowa State will be fun on Monday.
  2. Woo, big road win for the Clones. And Kansas/Okie State has kind of devolved here in OT.
  3. Pierre Jackson had a 35 foot alleyoop go in for a three. ISU-Baylor is a fun game so far though.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 04:45 PM) That actually makes alot more sense now that you list it out like that. Add in the high profile OOC games that they are trying to schedule (2 per year) and it starts to look like reality. Gotta wonder where the B1G ultimately stops. At a certain amount of teams or where the money doesn't keep growing.
  5. Fun fact: Iowa State would have been fourth in the ACC in attendance. Doesn't say as much about ISU as I think it does about the ACC. Texas 100,884 Oklahoma 85,243 Clemson 79,429 Florida State 75,601 Virginia Tech 65,632 Texas Tech 57,209 Oklahoma State 56,557 West Virginia 55,916 Iowa State 55,274 NC State 54,106 North Carolina 50,286 Kansas State 50,278 Louisville 49,991 Miami 47,719 Virginia 46,650 TCU 46,047 Georgia Tech 43,955 Pittsburgh 41,494 Kansas 41,329 Baylor 41,194 Syracuse 37,953 Boston College 37,020 Maryland 36,023 Wake Forest 28.912 Duke 28,170
  6. I realize that the Big 12 is Texas, Oklahoma, and everyone else. Fox and ESPN are paying a lot to make sure it survives though.
  7. I was drunk yesterday, but this was not me.
  8. College basketball officials work regionally, not by conference.
  9. Now that Iowa State won again, I can finally like basketball again. I still have zero clue how TCU beat Kansas. Should be a fun ending to the year with the top 6 teams all within two games of each other after tonight. The top two teams have yet to go to Ames yet, where I'll just mention that ISU has a 21 game winning streak.
  10. QUOTE (jhonnydanks @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 09:52 AM) don't stop get it get it This means baseball is close
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 07:06 PM) Iowa State offered Sean O'Mara from Benet. I'd compare him to Jack Cooley from ND. Just a junior. He's visiting Saturday. We could really use him. In other news, the #1 WR in the class of 2014 is committed - yes - to Iowa State.
  12. Mike Caruso is 40? Dear God
  13. Holy s*** Kansas. Literally one of the biggest upsets ever.
  14. QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 07:14 PM) Iowa State blowing out Oklahoma. I can't believe this team lost to Texas Tech... :crying This team is very good either when at home or interested in the game. Twenty straight wins at Hilton Coliseum.
  15. this entire sport is stupid
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 30, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) One more half, Cyclones. Goddamnit, this team should be f***ing undefeated in the Big 12 but instead sitting at 4-3.
  17. One more half, Cyclones.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 26, 2013 -> 06:06 PM) Ahem... The loss to TT still hurts, can't believe they shot 35% against the worst shooting defense in the conference. But the win over KSU is really nice. That KSU game is the start of the stretch that I think will define just how good this ISU team is or isn't. KU is far and away on top of the B12, and then you have four teams that are just not even in contention for anything post-season (TEX, TT, TCU, WVU). Tha leaves a whole mess of teams in the middle-upper ranks, that includes KSU, ISU, OU, BAY and OKST. How they play against that pack is what will tell you how good they are. Starting from today, IS is on a stretch like this: KSU, @OKST, BAY, OU, @KSU. The Tech loss is still by far the worst in 10+ years, but this is a good start. At least it's early enough in the conference season. Need to get thru the next four at 2-2.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 04:55 PM) Give us more specifics, dont make me go to Aimes and make you tell us. I actually may be going there for something called Viesa. So these are not idle threats. As for the Big Ten, OSU president Gordon Gee apparently made a remark in December about the possibility of expanding to 16-20 or something like that. The Big 12 has meetings on Monday and Tuesday with one full day of talking about the benefits/drawbacks of expanding. He just did an interview for the Austin paper saying the league is lookin into possibly forming an alliance with the ACC or one of a couple other conferences for the benefit of scheduling, TV and the like. And if you're coming for VEISHEA get your drinking shoes on. Also look it up on YouTube (riots).
  20. So the Big Ten is still looking at adding teams while the Big 12 is considering either standing pat, adding two, adding six or forming an alliance with one of three other conferences.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 23, 2013 -> 10:19 PM) That's an awful loss. Sorry bud. They can leave Korie Lucious in Lubbock for all I care. That was easily the worst coached game of Hoiberg's career.

im not quite sure why this weighty task falls on me every year
  23. That's one thing I love about the Sox right there. This isn't unique, although it makes it that much easier to pull for Hector.
