That game was awesome. Could easily see these two teams meet twice more in the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
This game is disgusting.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
This is setting up for an epic finish. If Kansas takes the lead, the roof will come off.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread

Iowa's playing like an NIT worthy team right now. Will they be able to let students in for free for an NIT game though?- Sox spring training Catch All thread
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) Probably referring to the bandage on his arm. I'd imagine from HGH testing which is reportedly requiring players to have 7 vials of blood drawn. Many players are complaining about it and how it's making them sick and feel like s*** well afterwards. What Dirty said.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
I hope all those Iowa students show up for their NIT game.- Sox spring training Catch All thread

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) Sort of. I think a lot depends on Texas. If Texas can't win-out, which they probably won't, then I think ISU is a near-lock (call it 90%) even if they lose all three. I think that is where you and I disagreed before - . I'd be shocked if the B12 didn't send 5 teams. I know that isn't truly part of the formula, but when it comes time to selections, I think it definitely comes into play. Furthermore, take a look at Texas and ISU's resumes right now: ISU: 20-8 / 10-5... 2 wins against Top 25, 3 wins against Top 50 TEX: 17-11 / 7-8... 1 win against Top 25, 3 wins against Top 50 ISU gets to play KSU, so they have some chance of adding to the Top 25-against resume, Texas plays KU. ISU has played better against the stronger in-conference competition. I just think the only way Texas passes ISU is if ISU loses all three and Texas wins all three. Just my view of things. Now what may be really interesting is, the way things are going, there is a good chance ISU and Texas will play each other first in the B12 tournament. So even if Texas and ISU do end up 20-11 / 10-8, and Texas then has a stronger resume, ISU could STILL get in by winning that game, which is in KC and will likely be semi-home for ISU. The only path I see with ISU not going, is they lose the next four games, and Texas wins the next four, or at least 3 of the next 4. I think our destiny is almost assuredly Kansas State in the 4-5 game.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
Ugliest 18 point win I've ever been to. Highlight was probably Royce driving and dribbling thru the defenders legs before a dunk.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread

QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 21, 2012 -> 12:31 AM) The reason Texas sucked at offense last season is that they had the worst QB play in the Big 12. And boy did they. They were middle of the pack in the Big 12 in rushing, IIRC, and near the top in defense, but none of it mattered due to QB play.- Catch-All Anything Thread
Two hours of sleep since Sunday. Anywho, I have to get up at 6:45 as I get to experience a cystoscope for the first time.- Official 2012-2013 NCAA Football Thread
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 20, 2012 -> 08:38 PM) That would be a pretty damn good hire. He was the scapegoat a year ago but had 12 years of leading an above average offense. Hopefully he can recruit too. That said, having not followed Texas football, I have no idea what/how he was. He also had all the talent in the world to coach. I had even seen rumors of Moore, although I call those rumors utter BS. Not a lot of Iowa fans are happy about it.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
Shabazz Napier would have led to Gus Johnson actually exploding right there. That shot was DIRTY.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 20, 2012 -> 09:57 AM) Yeaaaah....Hawkeyes. I know they won't go to the big dance but man, this is a significant improvement over last years squad. Hopefully they can pick up one more conference win. That would be pretty big. The program seems to be on the way up, especially with the strong recruiting class they had this past year (strong by Iowa standards). Sounds like next year Iowa and Iowa State have cancelled their home-and-home's with UNI and Drake. Iowa and Iowa State will continue their home-and-home, but they will play UNI and Drake in a "Big Four" event at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. I'm disappointed that Iowa State and Iowa aren't willing to go to Cedar Falls or the Knapp Center in Des Moines anymore.- Official 2012-2013 NCAA Football Thread
