QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 09:02 PM) Closed on account of negativity. Not just that, but pointless negativity.

Official 2011-2012 NCAA Football Thread
QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 08:49 PM) So why does every hate Nebraska so much? I'm assuming there's more to it than just hating conference rivals. Well, the fact they almost dropped a few of our schools into irrelevance is a good starter.

Sox Game on WGN Saturday 4/30
This thread's done for the night. It's one thing to lament the team sucking, which they have, but if you all want to troll about how bad they are playing, go to a different website. It hasn't been everyone, but the act is getting old from some.

Sox Game on WGN Saturday 4/30
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 08:16 PM) yeah I guess that was more on AJ, but Dunn is still a butcher. Why the f*** is he in the field? Cause PK isn't going to play every single day in the field?

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) That was very Lllibridge-ish. Should be an easy inning for Mike Gonzalez here. Meh, maybe Teahen triples or something.

Official 2011-2012 NCAA Football Thread
QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) Well played. We can finally put to rest the notion that academics played any part at all in the Big Ten thing. It was, and always was, 100% about football and having a championship game. Love how Perlman's reasons that Nebraska was at a disadvantage describe ISU too (land grant, no medical school, etc.) but our crappy ag school is still good enough. But yeah, we knew that. f*** em.

Humber
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:46 PM) You mean, you WOULDN'T want Bartolo Colon in your starting 5?! ARE YOU NUTS!? Colon's more productive than either one this year.

Humber
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) It sounds crazy, but I don't completely disagree. Humber is pitching his ass off and we very well may have caught lightning in a bottle for this season. But we're just going to immediately relegate the guy who's arguably been our best starter so far to the bullpen when Injuries McGee comes back? I think it's neither fair nor the best move for the team. That's the key. He hasn't been nearly that caliber in two seasons. There are other former Cy Young winners that I don't want pitching for my team either. Well, for starters, we're paying Peavy a lot to start, so he's absolutely going to. He's still building arm strength and from all indications is on track right now to be up in the next two weeks. I'll still take my chances with Jake.

Humber
QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 11:51 AM) Am I the only one that prefers Humber over Peavy? After the past 2 seasons, I've kind of lost faith in Peavy, so I'd rather stick with Humber, even if it means the Sox carries a 6-man rotation. You might be, yes. One's a former Cy Young winner. The other has played for like 6 teams.
