Yea, and in the right field conversation we’ve got heavy connections to the international market as well. Things are bringer than I can remember since 2004 and surprisingly, one could argue easily that this era surpasses that.

After that we learned the choice was multi-faceted... - Divorce + Newborn on the way - Concerns about his arm's health - COVID concerns - Resulting mental health / personal concerns All of these things have been expressed from sources directly related to him and are no longer in the world of "speculation". Speculation included things like, "Venessa cheated on him" and "the child isn't his own". Let's all be happy he's resuming throwing activity, wish him the best for our team, and be supportive.

Yea, this is correct. When Hahn got a call from Theo at the all-star game and told him they we’re prepared to offer Eloy + Cease as the front of this trade, Hahn jumped on it right away. They agreed in principle there while working out the back end shortly afterward. Hahn said the two of Eloy and Cease “far surpassed anything else that was on the table.” That’s what I recall Rick saying at the time of the trade.
