They both were grade 1 issues and he is not considered to be fully healthy.

I trust that Fuller and the hitting crew can help him return to form. Again, he is having the same issue Vargas had. It’s a gamble I’m willing to take for a 26 year old starting pitcher prospect and a young kid who plays a position we are stacked at.

I don’t think they’re really depending on him turning it around this year with that bat - that I feel is their hope for 27 - 29… with a small hope that it could happen this year. But this year their primary focus in center is having GG defense out there, getting Peters some rest to help him get back on track at the dish, etc. They have plenty of offense elsewhere - especially if they add a catcher like Stephenson.
