  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 08:26 AM) I'd be fine with 3-4 years. 5 at max. It's so awesome to have a guy who can lock down 3rd base for us. Avi's reaction in your avatar to Albers just shows that he's really a p****.
  2. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/04/todd...ml?fv-home=true I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.
  3. The shopping list for the deadline is growing... Unless Flumer can magically turn it around and on.
  4. He's settling in a bit more... Still haven't seen much I like yet stuff wise.
  5. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 04:43 PM) Jays fans are saying Lawrie looks like a crackhead now. He sure acts like one too!
  6. After Lawrie scored the run in today's game, he pretty much right away got on the bullpen phone. Would love to know what he said. "We got the lead now mother f***ers - lock this b**** down! OHHHH YEA!!!! SNAP INTO THAT s*** MAN!!!!!" That's my guess at least.
  7. Any chance Johnson starts on Tuesday? The pitcher for the sox is still listed as TBD for that day.
  8. BOOM goes the dynamite. My big point going ahead tomorrow is Rodon bouncing back, of course. I'd be more pleased with a 2 - 1 win tomorrow that I would with our offense scoring 5 again.
  9. Chalk that one up for the strangest play of the year award.
  10. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 07:05 PM) Sands! Nice work buddy! 5-0 Sox! We. Scored. Five.... Runs??????
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 07:04 PM) Lawrie's reaction at 2nd was awesome. Dude cracks me up. Guy I relate to most as a player. That's the way I play. ??
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 02:20 PM) SoxNet ‏@SoxNet now Signs of life? Todd Frazier's last 3 games 5-11 2 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB. OPS has gone from .508 to .682 during that time. Time for Abreu to get rolling with him. Then the others will follow. Leaders lead with action.
  13. QUOTE (ronkark @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 03:11 PM) Offense: 2015 redux. Abreu now has protection, right Hawk? Both are bad now. Jose is swinging at some terrible pitches. Here's a reality check. He's very good, he's not great. He doesn't really carry a team. Doesn't walk much. And his defense - enough with how much he's improved. He has yes. But look at what we started with. At best he doesn't lose you games. But he's not gonna win ya any either. He's below average at scooping throws in the dirt, below average range and his decision making also below average. Appreciate Konerko, people. GREAT hands. Yes limited range but everything else was strong. Great at scoops and he had moxy. Sneaking behind runners to pick them off. I see none of that with Jose. I see a very good doughy hitter. Great. That has value. But he's not elite. Frazier needs to get to .240 before I stop comparing him to Thome/Dunn/LaRoche. Rollins. Eh. Lawrie - the guy tries. I like him. Catchers. below eh. Melky - like him. Eaton - like him. Ajax - i agree he has hit hard into a lot of outs. and good D. Avi - no redeemable skill no. I see no reason not to send him down and bring up Coats. Couldn't be worse. His ABs are ugly. Danks - looked ugly doing it but the result was a game we should've won. If you want to be taken seriously around here - you really need to stop bringing up at Thome as if he was a negative player at the plate. As someone else already pointed out, dude was a beast with us.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) Cowley was on the radio today saying Samardzija used to "bully" the Sox catchers into calling the game he wanted to throw. He said this year that Avila and Navarro are much more willing to stand up for themselves to call the game Cooper wants. f***ing pompous arrogant jackass. I had no clue he was such a class act.
  15. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:10 PM) If you're gonna win 90+ you're gonna have to get lucky with a few. This was one they got lucky with The halos got a few big lucky breaks in this game too - specifically the botched check swing call that would have prevented their run.
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 06:20 AM) Tyler Flowers, who is hitting .412, had 4 hits and 3 RBI's in an Atlanta victory yesterday He was hitting like .172 before yesterday.
  17. No offense to the OP but, what a horrible article.
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) f*** losing. Hit the ball. Win. You would be more grammatically correct here if you dropped usage of "the".
  19. First time all year we've lost two in a row. It's April. We're on the road. Step away from the ledge.
