hi8is replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
i want sheets still. -
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 01:53 AM) Sign Colon on a heavily incentive based deal, sign Garland, trade Dye, sign Abreu. Get it done KW? sounds good to me... sign garland or sheets and garcia too. bring it on. go nuts for doughnuts.

where is the option for 32 klondike bars? i pick that one. thank god im not a baseball owner.
-
new york is a great place too - i love it there during the spring, winter, and fall.... i'd move to new york and be a new york baseball fan if it was the new york white sox lol i must say though - ive never been to chicago for longer than 1 day. =)
-
i check the site about 100 times a day... just about once every 15 mintues at work... and sometimes find myself typing www.soxtalk.com when i am thinking of another domain... do i qualify for soxtalk-anonymous?
-
In the first ever ( and highly successful ) soxtalk music thread I started around 2004 - many people voiced an affinity for heavy stuff. Bands like tool, opeth, pantera, system of a down, nin inch nails, etc. etc. We'll I've recently found out about a band that is cool and fits with those kinds of tastes. Check em out at: http://www.pointzeroband.com Let me know what you think =) Word. -the old drunk guy.

Angels May Consider Trading For Dye or Paulie
hi8is replied to Kenny Hates Prospects's topic in Pale Hose Talk
i really wish we had dealt crede for ervin santana when we had the chance. i wished at that time that the trade be completed... to no avail. when ervin was a rookie i saw him shut out the sox in a complete game at angels stadium. great game... i knew then he was gonna be good. i have a great eye for talent. thats why i want baley. =) -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) Dye for Bailey+ 2 other prospects is an absolute steal for the White Sox. I there any hope for this still Rock? I don't know how you've become "an in the know member" of soxtalk all of a sudden... or maybe upon awakening from my coma I am still getting back up to speed. =) hah!

i want bailey. bring it.
-
i also wouldn't doubt it if the sox were denying this trade because they were negotiating a trade with a corner OF free agent. that way they have leverage to say, "well, we don't need to give you the contract you want because we can just go with Dye. If you do wanna accept our offer however, we'll explore the options we have in a Dye trade market." sounds like rock has a different take on it and is much more "in the know" than I.

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 01:00 PM) ...and then get made to look like a fool by the reliever in front of a national audiance. i still like OC for doing that... seriously. i really dug that move by him. flame me all you want - i thought it was great and i want all my players to have that intensity.
-
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) another comment they aired saying Javy wasn't a money deal, more about the team getting younger it was neither... i think the main motivation was dumping a duschebag ball-less loser. but - you're not going to go out and publicly say that... are you?
-
ain't nothin' but a smoke screen baaaaaby
-
even the comment about OC being a back up... its posturing to get him to decline arbitration. if he accepts, there is now way he isnt starting.
-
whats the deal with cappuccino? get him and caberra - throw them into the 5th starter competition. bring it.
-
Upon offering arbitration to him - management must have at least considered this happening... in a professional environment, you do not make a move like this and then b**** and moan when your ideal situation does not come to fruition. They saw this coming and have it in their plans... Besides, remember guys it is not 100 percent in the books yet that he has accepted arbitration. We'll see - bottom line thou is this: KW and the rest of management have planned for him to accept. They have explored all possible options, even this one.

QUOTE (qwerty @ Dec 3, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) Only half way done reading this thread... but why did anyone want morton is the first place? Already 25 and the first time he ever (7 seasons) did anything noteworthy was for half of a season in triple a last season.. The he promptly went back to his old ways of being atrocious once the braves brought him up in the second half. He is fodder. i told you my boner was premature

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 3, 2008 -> 03:27 AM) Gilmore was a first round pick in 07 and has put up very good numbers in the minors plus he's supposed to have all the tools necessary of a gold glove 3rd baseman. What isn't to like. but morton is the next jack mcdowell! i'm trying to illustrate here how out of wack my expectations of this prospect are. =)
-
morton!!!! see, im kinda sick in the head... i've got it all pegged up already for him to be the next cy young. durrrr
