  1. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 08:07 AM) we have but they havent
  2. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 08:01 AM) I cant believe Kenny and Rick are still talking to Rizzo. Are they prepared to go all in with Viciedo?
  3. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:58 AM) still thinking dunn could happen No Dayan go bye bye unless it's crazy good WOW. On a personal note, it's clearly time for bed.... however, i doubt any rest will be had until Saturday after the game. =)
  4. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:56 AM) They are targeting a bat beyond the longshot right? Of course, they're sure to have plan A, B, C, X, Rs, and D6 WOOOOOOOO!
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:54 AM) It's 1:53 AM and I've been drinking. Does somebody have the audacity to even insinuate that Lucas Harrell is a legitimate prospect? I AM THE EGG MAN!!!!
  6. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 06:42 AM) I use this board to practice beat poetry as well as for baseball discussions. I'm banging on a trash can as we speak. I am the walrus.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:39 AM) That clinches it for sure. Brad Radke or Jeremy Bonderman will be our fifth starter next year if Harrelson has his say, with Inge at 3B. it's clearly 1am on july 31st =) delirious!
  8. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:31 AM) i know who it is i am the walrus?
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:29 AM) Doc has good info...certainly not Cowley. Well then Doc - thanks for letting us know that this potential "mystery" trade is still in the works. PM me with any info you can -- maybe then, i'd be able to get some sleep tonight
  10. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:24 AM) its not true, he wanted jackson. tonight the nats still asked for way too much for dunn and KW said no he has wanted edwin since jackson was 20 years old.... for good reason too... he is going to be a stud once coop get's a hold of him.
  11. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:21 AM) there is a more attractive option that is in the works. a name that nobody has rumored about. its a long shot but we are trying to make it happen. stay tuned and cross your fingers!! i heard the same thing from crowley on twitter at 6am yesterday. is that where you are hearing this as well - or do you have some inside info as to who it is??
  12. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 06:11 AM) IMO, He's always made the most sense of any available candidate considered. Historically, he's a monster producer in the 2nd half. He's put up a slash of .303/.386/.607/.993 hitting 5th this season with zero protection, .285/.341/.494/.835 with runners on and and 303/.386/.607/.993 with RISP. LaRoche hits LHP to the tune of .286/.861. (Dunn is awful against LHP and Berkman is awful against RHP). Sign me up for LaRoche and Cooper turning Jackson around to post monster numbers for us. That would make me a very happy panda.
  13. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 06:01 AM) Common knowledge. His name Is Viciedo and that's not happening. Adam LaRoche will be a White Sox tomorrow. you've gotta think that's the most attractive option for us now.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 05:47 AM) Hawk and Stone went out of their way to praise Dayan tonight, I think they agree with you! Or they were told by the front office to talk him up big because they want to up his trade value
  15. From Peter gammons:
  16. He's a 21 year old rookie - he'll improve many aspects of his game... His inclination to take a walk included.
  17. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 03:39 AM) If we can get Dunn AND keep Jackson, and Coop really can work his magic with him, I think the White Sox would have to be seen as a legitimate threat to the Yanks. I'd let the Nationals have whatever they want for Dunn. I'd give up Viciedo and any other minor leaguer. Wow, you really think highly of getting Dunn then... or you don't have as big of a hard on for Viciedo as I do. =D
  18. I will always have an extreme hatred for RIZZO. DIE COCK SUCKER DIE
  19. Yep - I was just yelling at the screen while Halk was talking about The Tank... "DON'T TRADE HIM!!!"
  20. YEA BABY! 1-2-3 inning 0 ER through 3 innings Keep it goin bud! Keep it goin! Give me 6IP of shutout ball b****! =D
  21. If this guy could learn how to command his f***ing pitches - he'd be a decent starter!
  22. So far I like what I see from Harrell... He has a nice fastball with some tailing movement to it. His curve breaks on a nice plane. Just is getting behind and not getting ahead.
  23. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) Brewers are done, Rosenthal reports. No Prince for us. (should we take this to the trade winds forum?) Eh - this stuff just blends into one at about this stage of the game.
  24. Here is a link that includes a video that has KW talking about the Jackson deal: http://www.csnchicago.com/07/30/10/Sox-dea...&feedID=661
  25. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 11:20 PM) And I'm also thankful someone else reported the story on here about how Ozzie wants a roster full of guys that can't hit home runs, and in his ideal lineup, Pierre would bat 4th. I don't believe that for a second. Ozzie wasn't being sarcastic there - no way. =P
