That's why I'm worried, yeah. Like is this short-term or long-term? I don't think it's an issue with his talent or playing ability or anything like that

9/22 - White Sox @ Cleveland: Lopez vs Quantrill
Worried, but not freaking out. I don't think last year was a fluke

I'm a fan of Jason but a lot of times on hard-hit balls he will be like "and he hits a fly ball to left, that's deep left, and... ANDITISGONE!" like he realizes it belatedly even though it sounded like a 155mm howitzer coming off the bat

I'm not worried about Robert's career trajectory at all, what he's going through is fairly normal and he's got enough talent to figure it out, it's just that it's coming at a really inopportune time for a contending team. This would probably just be a blip on a 162-game season, but in this year it's tanking his production completely.

Dare I get hopeful that Reynaldo doesn't suck anymore?

White Sox "Normal" Record
Yeah that's what I meant lol anything more than this from him at this point is a bonus

White Sox "Normal" Record
There are a lot of variables about what could've gone different with another 102 games, but I think a lot of them even out -Kopech probably doesn't opt out -Bullpen not likely to be taxed as heavily over the course of a full season -Lopez still struggles, it's just not as glaring over 162 games -Dunning starts the season in AA/AAA and has more endurance before getting called up to the majors -Rodon is probably still Rodon either way -Other players likely to do IL stints -Robert regresses to mean like he is now, but has plenty of time to figure it out

White Sox "Normal" Record
With all due caveats that this is all hypothetical considering this is barely more than 1/3 of a season, for those of us wondering how this shortened season translates to a "regular" season I did a little math. 162/60 = 2.7 so each game counts for 2.7 games. Given that, the White Sox "regular" record right now is 89-46. Their current winning % is .660, so if you want to know how many games they're on pace to win, multiply that by 162, it's a pace for 107-55.

2019 Home Improvement
- Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
He's going thru another one of those adjustment periods, in a mini-slump he'll probably come out of soon if his previous patterns are any indication- Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
1) I'm always impressed by how fast the social media teams get these up on twitter 2) that's almost the exact same spot TA hit to a couple innings ago- Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
James McCann is an essential employee.- Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
I seem to remember him throwing several mph harder than he's doing right now, so if he's better than this... I mean...- Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
So is this kinda what Dunning will look like as a finished project, or is this a proto-version of him that's still got some development to do?- White Sox v Royals - Cease vs Duffy - 9/3/20 GT
HEY GUYS IF YOU SEE A LINK THAT SAYS "LUIS ROBERT NUDES" DO NOT CLICK IT. IT'S A VIRUS THAT WILL MAKE YOUR KEYBOARD BE STUCK ON CAPS LOCK- 2020 Celebrity Death Thread
Chadwick was obviously more than the T'Challa character but that role was such a cultural touchstone and carried so much weight. The man spent his last 4 years creating iconic art knowing he wasn't long for the world, suffering in silence. Sigh.- Steve/Jason appreciation post
Yeah, "he hits this one to deep left field and it is GONE!" is kind of generic. It's not bad or good. It's just kinda there. But again, for 30 years Hawk's home run call was iconic so that's a pretty tough act to follow.- Steve/Jason appreciation post
Steve's really dry but Jason brings the humor out in him in a way that never happened when he was paired with Hawk.- AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
Jose Abreu is playing out of his mind right now. If he was playing a full season this is probably about a 45 home run pace (mathematically, 12 home runs over 31 games is 62 home runs but I know baseball doesn't actually work like that). So fun to see him actually hitting in a lineup where not only does he not have to carry most of the weight, he's maybe the 3rd or 4th best hitter.- Steve/Jason appreciation post
These guys have become my favorite broadcasting duo since... I dunno, Hawk and Wimpy in the 90s? Nothing compares to Hawk's "You can put it on the board, YES" as far as play by play calls, but besides that Jason and Steve are everything you could want. -Openly pro-Sox but objective about the game, not overboard with homerism -Informative about what's happening in the game, skills/capabilities of players, what scouting reports say etc. -Entertaining banter, playful roasting- AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX NO HITTER WINNER
Giolito was one of the very worst pitchers in baseball 2 years ago. Look at him now. Also Tim Anderson gets shit on for being a butcher in the field, and it's mostly justified, but he came through with one of the highlights of the season. - Sox vs Twins. 9/15 - 7:10
