  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 3, 2012 -> 12:27 AM) Sox lost, and Dodgers won, so we secure the 18th spot at the very least. Now the last thing is for Milwaukee to win tomorrow, and Chris Sale and the Sox to lose tomorrow. We'd lock in to 17th spot if that happens. I though it's Floyd pitching. In fact, it better be Floyd pitching
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 11:50 PM) I have some serious questions regarding the A's rotation in the playoffs. Parker, Milone, Griffin, and Blackley? I don't know... Their offense really needs to step it up. A's in the last 100 games: 67-33
  3. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 3, 2012 -> 12:32 AM) If the Dodgers lose do you think Kershaw pitches tomorrow?? I'm 11 Ks from winning my money league and he's somehow available. He's got a 1 something ERA vs SF. I'm torn between him and Chris Tillman who is also somehow available (I can only make one move) LOL that's the exact reason I dont want him pitching. He's opposing me in a fineal matchup.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 11:59 PM) If the Yankees win the East, the loser of the A's/Rangers game would host the Orioles on Friday. I want a Giants win/Dodgers eliminated tonight.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 11:25 PM) Not sure if serious... a bit sarcastic, but wouldn't be surprised if it swayed some of the voters.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 11:40 PM) How crazy would it be if the A's won the division? Texas led the division 97% of the year. I'd love for A's and O's to win their respective division and let Rangers and NYY battle it out in the wild card knockout game.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 10:58 PM) If the A's win, it's Ryan Dempster vs AJ Griffin tomorrow at 2:35 for the division. I would like to congratulate the Oakland A's on winning the AL West. Ok just kidding.
  8. Cabrera wins, last time I checked Angels did not make the playoffs.
  9. Must be fun to be Orioles and A's fans these days.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) I only barely knew the guy. It was a big high school. And we haven't talked since then. Just messing with ya, but hey that's cool tho!
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) The way I see it, if I'm Rick Hahn (and we did graduate from the same high school only a year apart) Talk about being able to get the rumors first hand!
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 08:36 PM) With anything somewhat resembling offensive support and Peavy would have 16+ wins this year. 3 runs in 8 innings is a QS last I checked. An ERA under 3.40 on the season is pretty damn good in the AL. The guy hasn't pitched a full season in who knows how many years and here he is in October throwing another QS. He can be a solid #3 starter.
  13. If Jake blows this game it would be a fitting tale of his career with the White Sox.
  14. Voted to keep him, not sure why. Mancrush from 09 still in play.
  15. Sorry guys, just tuned in, Manto is furious lol
  16. QUOTE (daggins @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 12:39 AM) I imagine they pick it up and try to trade him. Is there a team with bigger need at 3B than the Sox? Assuming Youk goes to Boston to play 1B for someone else than Valentine.
  17. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 12:19 AM) A's have a shot at the division. Sure do, gotta give them props. Rangers were a 'lock' months ago and now here we are.

    2012 TV Thread

FWIW, Showtime has put both Homeland and Dexter season premiers on YouTube. I'm too lazy to dig up links for you, but FYI.
  19. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 04:56 PM) How much money is David Wright probably gonna get?? Would the savings from Peavy and Youk give them the $$?? The Mets have a $16M team option or $1M buy out. I guess we are all assuming Mets will not pick up the option.
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) I would definitely root for Jim Thome to get a ring. I am. Go O's.
  21. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) No. The team has assumed they are out of it. Players actually performing is the indication. THIS. It's just fitting they started hitting when 3 games back.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 09:24 PM) Makes sense. Who are Hawkins and Trayce Thompson? Are they locks to be excellent? Is Mitchell a lock to be a star? No such thing as lock prospect really.
  23. @DanHayesCSN Robin Ventura said wants to return if #WhiteSox will have him. A.J. Pierzynski acknowledged Sunday could be his last home game at The Cell.
