  1. No one talking about RDR2? Graphics were awesome, timeperiod looks AFTER RDR1, f*** I can't wait to jump back in to that world. Ryan McCaffrey of IGN speculating that there may be 7 playable characters.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) This is all coming much faster than I think anyone anticipated...it will be interesting to see how this does on the market. The safety is the obvious selling point, along with the convenience, but some people, like myself, truly enjoy driving. I suspect there would be times when I would appreciate not having to actually drive, but for the most part, I find driving to be quite an enjoyable experience and a break from the other stressful parts of my day. I only really see myself using autopilot for highway driving, and then I would let the thing park itself when I arrive at a restaurant or something. I think I am probably far too aggressive of a driver to want to sit back and let autopilot cautiously maneuver through day-to-day traffic. lol
  3. Going out on a limb and picked up Packers WR/RB Ty Montgomery for tonight's game and dropped Pierre Garcon, and am starting him now that Lacy is out.
  4. Well that was super misleading. Elon tweeted that this was going to be related to Part 2 of the Model 3 reveal....but it really wasn't. Not that what they revealed ISN'T groundbreaking and a huge change for the industry, but I just really wanted to see what the inside of my car will look like. The big announcement was that ALL Tesla vehicles currently rolling out of the factory and for the future will be FULLY equipt with the hardware for FULL autonomous driving. "Eight surround cameras provide 360 degrees of visibility around the car at up to 250 meters of range. Twelve updated ultrasonic sensors complement this vision, allowing for detection of both hard and soft objects at nearly twice the distance of the prior system. A forward-facing radar with enhanced processing provides additional data about the world on a redundant wavelength that is able to see through heavy rain, fog, dust and even the car ahead. To make sense of all of this data, a new onboard computer with over 40 times the computing power of the previous generation runs the new Tesla-developed neural net for vision, sonar and radar processing software. Together, this system provides a view of the world that a driver alone cannot access, seeing in every direction simultaneously, and on wavelengths that go far beyond the human senses. Enhanced Autopilot adds these new capabilities to the Tesla Autopilot driving experience. Your Tesla will match speed to traffic conditions, keep within a lane, automatically change lanes without requiring driver input, transition from one freeway to another, exit the freeway when your destination is near, self-park when near a parking spot and be summoned to and from your garage." And the BEST PART: "Build upon Enhanced Autopilot and order Full Self-Driving Capability on your Tesla. This doubles the number of active cameras from four to eight, enabling full self-driving in almost all circumstances, at what we believe will be a probability of safety at least twice as good as the average human driver. The system is designed to be able to conduct short and long distance trips with no action required by the person in the driver’s seat. For Superchargers that have automatic charge connection enabled, you will not even need to plug in your vehicle. All you will need to do is get in and tell your car where to go. If you don’t say anything, the car will look at your calendar and take you there as the assumed destination or just home if nothing is on the calendar. Your Tesla will figure out the optimal route, navigate urban streets (even without lane markings), manage complex intersections with traffic lights, stop signs and roundabouts, and handle densely packed freeways with cars moving at high speed. When you arrive at your destination, simply step out at the entrance and your car will enter park seek mode, automatically search for a spot and park itself. A tap on your phone summons it back to you." https://www.tesla.com/autopilot
  5. I don't get it....or is it joke about Elon's preponderance for tardiness?
  6. Oh s***, the "unexpected Tesla reveal" tonight, which will be in just under 4 hours, is Model 3 Part 2!!! I'm losing my s*** right now. Most of us thought Part 2 of the reveal would be sometime in summer 2017. Weird how there wasn't much leading up to this, and by all rights, it's a much quieter reveal than part 1 was on March 31st, but still, I'm absolutely paralyzed with excitement to see what my future car will look like. :o :o
  7. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) The next spin-off should contain the word "definitely". I see "defiantly", "definetly", "definitly", etc. on a daily basis I routinely have to try multiple times at "guarantee" for whatever reason.
  8. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) That's the way Joel Sherman made it sound around the trade deadline when they were stockpiling prospects. GIVE US GLEYBER TORRES AND CLINT FRAZIER PLEASE.
  9. A year away sucks, but I'm just happy to know it's finally real and coming.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 05:22 PM) I wonder if this pick will still be unprotected at the time of the draft. To be fair, why should the White Sox have to surrender the 12th pick to sign someone, when the Cubs would have to surrender the 30th to sign the same player? At the very least all non playoff teams should have their 1st pick protected IMO. Why wouldn't it be? CBA changes?
  11. Salazar could be back for the World Series. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/indians-...g-world-series/
  12. My favorite part about the leaked map is the portion named "NEW BORDEAUX". That's the setting for Mafia 3, and both are published by 2K. I would LOVE for the stories to connect and to be able to explore the same city, 80 years apart.
  13. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Oct 17, 2016 -> 02:38 PM) I liked RDR more in theory than in practice. Great setting and story, but the game play seemed to be all of the worst parts of GTA. It took forever to get to way points and so many missions were "go here, then go here, kill everyone, the end." The gun play was pretty basic too, really easy to stay in cover the whole time and one-shot kill with bodyshots. Undead Nightmare was fun though. I had no problems staying busy going from one end of the map to the other because the environment was so damn alive that I was constantly sidetracked with sidestories and random NPC interactions and hunting. I spent HOURS wandering between missions and I loved it. Gun was basic, but nothing was more fun than using the "dead eye" or whatever it was called to go in slow motion and pick off body parts in a rapid barrage of fire. That s*** was fun EVERY DAMN TIME.
  14. QUOTE (shysocks @ Oct 17, 2016 -> 08:58 AM) The way they're teasing it would be a huge dick move if it was just a remaster. I agree. No need to be big cockteases about a remaster when they all know we want a sequel.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 17, 2016 -> 08:16 AM) I wonder how many Will Fuller fantasy owners got screwed over by the Texans. Not that I'm complaining, because I was playing the guy who has him. I sat him last minute for Meredith.
  16. I was so pissed when I initially saw this news. But once I found out that he was in the Royals FO for a couple years (actually has experience), and saw some tweets from baseball industry people who said is extremely well liked by both FO and players, which is apparently rare because most players dislike FO people, then I was feeling better about this. I guess overall I would say I'm indifferent. Doesn't seem awful, but doesn't really excite me either.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 16, 2016 -> 06:05 PM) Yeah I agree. MLBTR article said we'd want a package of Bradley/Devers/Rodriguez?? That would be a horrible return for Sale. Bradley is overrated and our FO's infatuation with getting him rather than Benintendi/Kopech/Groome type guys is puzzling. I think MLBTR was just naming pieces that they felt would be expendable for Boston, not naming the entire package, or one they feel is fair.
  18. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 16, 2016 -> 05:49 PM) Those elite hitters almost never get traded. It's guys on Melky's tier, who would be the 3rd-5th best hitter on a contender, that get traded. Right...and? I feel like you are confusing me with someone who either said Melky is bad, Melky has no value, or Melky won't be traded. I've said none of those. I just said he's not one of the best hitters in baseball...
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 16, 2016 -> 11:14 PM) It might be time for them to move Baez up. Go Fowler Bryant Zobrist Baez Rizzo Contreras Russell Heyward That looks right.
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 15, 2016 -> 09:52 AM) I would undoubtedly take Pryor over Meredith. It didn't matter because I ended up smoking my opponent, but Meredith got me 12 points. Decided last minute to start him over Fuller, who got 0 points (assuming he didn't play). Stafford got me 26 points on my bench, and still no one will even entertain him as their QB. It's his 3rd game with 23+. If not for his 5 point clunker vs the Bears, he would be averaging 20 points a game.
  21. Rizzo and Russell are a combined 2 for 39 (.051 avg). For their careers, Rizzo is a postseason .127 hitter, Russell is a .117 hitter. Both hit #3 and #5 respectively.
  22. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 16, 2016 -> 12:07 PM) So the 21st best hitter in baseball, or, in theory, the best hitter on one's team, doesn't qualify as one of the best? No. There is a difference between a "team's best hitter" and "one of the best hitters in baseball". Tommy Joseph was the Phillies best hitter this year. Does that make him a top 30 and one of the best hitters in baseball? The Reds #1 starter is Anthony DeSclafani. Does that mean he's an ace and one of the best pitchers in baseball? You're theory operates on all teams being equal, and that's not even close to being true.
  23. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Oct 16, 2016 -> 08:41 AM) Not one of the best in baseball but he's very solid. 64th in wRC+ means he'd be the third best hitter on most teams (on average) and even for a lineup that's stacked he'd be a contributor. I agree, he is a solid hitter and a lot of teams could probably use him. I'm just saying he's not even close to one of the best in the game.
  24. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 16, 2016 -> 08:40 AM) So being the 64th or 75th best hitter on all 30 teams doesn't make a player "one of the best hitters in baseball"? I'm confused as to how that works, could you please explain? No, it doesn't. Top 20 hitter in baseball are some of the best hitters in baseball. There, all cleared up.
