Yeah, I don't disagree, but I also don't know if the Sox can count on Teel at C full-time. The injuries this year are REALLY alarming. You might need more of a legit catcher platoon, with Teel also getting time at 1B/DH when Murakami gets a break. If Rutschman doesn't cost too much I'd at least consider it.

i don’t hate the idea, depending on the cost. Also let’s all hit up some Orioles message boards and absolutely lowball the s%*# out of them.

Detmers's slider is an incredible pitch. He's at like 99 on breaking stuff at Baseball Savant because of that pitch. His fastball does not grade out that well though, at least according to them.

RIght, I'm saying if Soriano is cheaper I'd be fine with getting him instead.
-
That was when they had the 2024 White Sox to beat up on. The entire Central was over .500 because of that. Sox went 10-42 against the Central.

If I could get Soriano for cheaper than Detmers I'd strongly consider it. He'd be a nice 3/4 to slot in. He's got more team control I think though.

I don't see how a team 7 under at the end of July has any real hope of competing. They put themselves in a huge hole and would have to have been Red Sox hot to really put themselves back into contention.

It was a joke. I'd be happy with Detmers, though I do have more concerns about him than some do here and I would hesitate to meet the Angels supposed current asking price.

Sounds like what happened with Crochet

Not sure I want a guy who gets hit so hard it sounds like the fake ESPN contact sound.

HUGE blown opportunity.

Good at bat by Braden. Cole going to be close to 70 pitches after this at bat (hopefully more).

Let's get those two in please.
