  1. Were the analytics Haber used for Gonzalez based on "which draft pick is going to end up being an immediate disappointment"?
  2. Under Hahn/Hostetler? I don't remember that ever coming up.
  3. I like to see they have an R&D group, and that they have input on later round picks.
  4. Two potential savings picks, two guys with a loud tool or two that could turn into something useful. Not bad.
  5. So far some interesting draft profiles. Definitely seems different than past drafts. I'm sure some punting is coming up, but if they can grab some guys with interesting/loud tools without a lot of success with those picks this will be a really good draft.
  6. At the game. Was clear Civale was losing it by his body language. No excuse for him to stay in after the double, and definitely not after the first walk.
  7. Not bad by Leasure. For where this team is, I'll take winning 1 of 3 from the hottest team in baseball and ending their winning streak. Would've been nice to score more than 7 runs in 3 games, but that's a lot of pitchers with ERAs in the 2s and 3s to face in a series.
  8. Yeah, this is at the bottom of Elko's BBRef minor league splits page. I'm not gonna count the last 28 days from the game log, but his numbers for the last 3 games line up with the "Last 7 days" here.
  9. Cleveland is very good at finding good pitching as well. Their issue is developing hitters to help Ramirez.
  10. I think they are. The game log below those stats show the games against the Astros in mid-June. EDIT: Yup
  11. Just call it a "mystery box" they can take instead of Houser. Could be anybody on the roster...
  12. Yeah Fedde has been ROUGH for a good chunk of this year. Sox sold at the right time for sure.
  13. Rookies make mistakes like that. He'll learn.
  14. They're a very flawed team that has yet to have every component working well together. St Louis and Milwaukee are pushing a lot harder on them now than it looked like they would in early June, but I still think the Cubs are the class of that division. If they go big on pitching acquisitions I might change that opinion, but as it is they don't match up well with the Dodgers or Philly.
  15. I'd complain about how the '05 Sox are becoming the '85 Bears, but I'll watch AJ hit homers off the Cubs in '05/'06 anytime
  16. The Reinsdorfs stopped watching the NBA after the '04/'05 Pistons
  17. Hopefully he's here to stay for a while now.
  18. Got claimed by the Marlins?
  19. Maybe. I'd trade defense for offense on this roster for sure. I also don't know how Baldwin is going to learn what he needs to do in MLB by bashing AAA pitching.
  20. I'm on the same page. Let Colson sustain some success in AAA until after the ASB or trade deadline at least. Bring him up once you're confident he's injury-free and producing in a way that he can sustain in MLB. I don't know why Baldwin isn't up yet, especially over Capra. All I can think of is they think Baldwin is in the Elko camp of AAAA players, but even that's better than Capra.
  21. MLB numbers obviously, but he's still a prospect so thought it fit here
