Beckham has had a lot of action at 3B tonight too. He had one hot smash hit off his glove and deflect to SS, where the runner was thrown out. May have saved another error. But he has handled 5 or 6 other plays including starting a double play.

Beckham doubled in his second AB. I think he may have a future.

Beckham is 0-2, but has hit the ball hard twice. First AB--hit a liner to Zach Jackson. The ball deflected and was caught by the first baseman. His 2nd Ab--he hit a hard shot to 3B, and Marte made the error.

I don't know when it happened, but they took a hit away from Beckham. The first inning bunt single was changed to a sacrifice and an error to move him to second. He was 10-20. Now he's 9-19 at Charlotte.

I think a lot of people (including myself) are trying to talk themselves into thinking he's not ready simply because he was drafted just last year, and he hasn't played a certain amount of minor league games. Even Joe Cowley had a Twitter earlier saying Ozzie said "if Beckham comes up, we're in trouble." Well Ozzie, I got news for you. He's ready.
