  1. Hudson is leaving the game in the 7th inning with an injury. Possibly a back or oblique. Not good.
  2. That's 10 k's for Hudson. He gave up an infield single, and then got the DP. 6 inn, 2 hits, 2 walks, 10 k's
  3. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 08:09 PM) Viciedo almost up to .280. If he works out this off-season and transforms his fat into muscle while also losing 15 pounds, watch out. If all goes well, maybe he can be moved to the OF. Brent Morel seems to be developing as a real 3B prospect. If we can develop a Mitchell-Danks-Viciedo outfield and a Morel-Ramirez-Beckham infield, with a free agent 1B, or Quentin at DH, and Flowers catching, well, that would be something. Of course, they all have to be good players too. And that can get tricky.
  4. QUOTE (beautox @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 08:01 PM) The sox future is so bright! Buehrle, Danks, Floyd, Hudson, Richard They could do that now if they wanted to. Colon, Contreras, and Garcia need to be purged from the Sox system. I think that would be a good start.
  5. Once the Sox officially fall out of this thing, Contreras should be released, and Hudson should come up. It won't happen, but that's what should happen.
  6. Fields got sent down.
  7. I'm not calling anyone a liar, but I don't see anything on Cowley's twitter, the Sun-times website, and I haven't heard Cowley on the Score since the game ended. Also, whitesox.com still has Colon's picture up as tomorrow's starter.
  8. QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 02:47 PM) I'll be at the Tuesday game. f*** the Twins and the Metrodome. Show Buehrle some love.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 10:13 PM) It's nice to see Santos Rodriguez doing well in Bristol. Alot of people feel he'll be the wildcard in that Vazquez deal. 13 walks in 15 innings? He needs to do better.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:40 PM) Aren't we in Minnesota? It's called a satellite, and video tape.

I know it's not happening, but there's part of me that would just like to see a five man rotation the rest of the year of Buehrle, Floyd, Danks, Hudson, and Torres, just to see what happens.
  12. Can we just stop talking about him and pretend he was never in our organization? Never underestimate the power of denial.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 22, 2009 -> 10:47 PM) who is he working for these days? Braves special assistant.
  14. Is Poreda still in the pen tonight? I take it Torres won't be added until tomorrow.
  15. Prediction: Torres stays up the rest of the year, and starts at least 10 games.

    Great outing for Harrell.

Lucas Harrell with 6 shutout innings so far. Charlotte leading big. Anderson not in the lineup. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...94&sid=t494

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 07:45 AM) Do my eyes deceive me, or did Derek Rodriguez get a start for Charlotte? Are they converting him? Torres was scheduled to start. He was called up, so it went to the bullpen.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 08:31 PM) I think he's a great #3 hitter and could be a multiple time all-star if he moves to 2nd base Agree 100%. I think he'll be there next season. This is just a one year thing.

Wasn't Carlos Torres supposed to start tonight? Maybe they want to get him pitching the same schedule as Richard, so they're moving him to tomorrow? Seems fishy. I did hear Cooper say last night that if Richard were to fall out of the rotation there are two candidates to take his place- Colon and Torres. No mention of Poreda at all, which is not a surprise to me but a lot of people want Poreda to start. It's not going to happen. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/index.jsp?sid=t494
  21. Wise? Anderson? What's the diff if Quentin, Podsednik, and Dye are playing everyday? Not really a big story here, in my opinion.
  22. QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jul 19, 2009 -> 08:27 PM) On top of it, Pena has been downright terrible for us. And Pena sucked the month before he came to the Sox, so it's even more horrible. He better start bringing value before this season ends to make that trade worth it.
  23. Ugh. I hate this trade. Let's try to forget about Allen.
  24. flavum replied to Chisoxfn's topic in FutureSox Board
    Good game tonight...he'll move up.
  25. I've now seen Carlos Torres pitch a total of one inning of baseball, and I can already tell I'd rather see him pitch every fifth game than Clayton Richard.
