I’ll definitely be rooting for the Cardinals to beat the Dodgers, because they’re the champs and it potentially helps the Sox. If it’s the Giants in the wildcard, I’d rather see them make it, and have a LA-SF division series.

TB-Hou play each other next Tue-Thu, so you never know. Good for the Sox if they’re really pushing to win by taxing their pitching staffs.

When the season ends, they’ll get two days of workouts in Houston, and by the time first pitch comes that Thursday, the second half coasting will be a faded memory for most.

Just so everyone knows, there will be no games in Detroit or Cleveland on Wednesday.
