  1. That’s the thing though. If Astros/Sox is mathematically still a thing, then they may make the Sox take the short flight from Cleveland to Detroit and play two 7-inning games next Monday. They tend to want to get the games in until they can’t.
  2. Indians/Royals doubleheader starts in an hour. Sox lineup is out. Goodwin batting 9th at DH. Hope the Sox get the one-game sweep and MLB doesn’t make them go back next Monday.
  3. Both teams play Tuesday-Sunday the final two weeks. Giants one game lead. Would host game 163. LA- 3 at Col, 3 at Arz, 3 vs SD, 3 vs Mil SF- 3 at SD, 3 at Col, 3 vs Arz, 3 vs SD Hope the opposition gives it their best. Should be good…and then everyone is a Cardinals fan on October 6th.
  4. 26 games combined for the Astros and White Sox. 17 of them have to be Sox wins or Astros losses in order for the Sox to be the 2-seed. Not happening.
  5. Doubt there will be games in Detroit and Cleveland on Wednesday. Hopefully they can play Tuesday night.
  6. AL wildcard with two weeks left. All about the loss column. Red Sox and Blue Jays- 65 Yankees and A’s- 67
  7. I think the Sox will clinch Thurs or Friday due to weather in Detroit. Hopefully MLB won’t make them go back to Detroit next Monday to play 2. If they end up playing 160, oh well.
  8. Weather looks like shit Tuesday and Wednesday in Detroit.
  9. Great job going 20-3 vs Pirates, Cubs, Orioles, Rangers
  10. Higher seed Magic Number: Rays over Astros for 1-seed: 10 Astros over White Sox for 2-seed: 10
  11. I can’t see the name Cesar without saying the Nick Kroll character C-Czar. Anyone? Anyone?
  12. 5-0 Indians. Gardner and Judge were close to a bad collision, but they avoided contact. Rooting for the Yankees to be gone and the Red Sox to lose the wildcard game to Toronto.
  13. First inning struggles for Cole. I’m fine with it.
  14. The 2012 Tigers made the World Series with the 7th best AL record. I’ll take that.
  15. It’s a “show and go” Sunday. Expect garbagiola.
  16. 8-6 the rest of the way. Deal with it.
  17. We’ll clinch eventually this coming week. I’m glad the Yankees are getting pummeled today.
  18. Sox are going to clinch Monday night when the Royals win the second game of the doubleheader. They’ll be watching in the clubhouse.
  19. Astros magic number on the Sox is 13 with 16 games left. The Sox hfa will have to be in the ALCS against the wildcard team that knocks off the Rays.
  20. More precisely, the Sox won one in TB (and it was a good one), then punted two.
  21. Haven’t given it much thought about the Astros getting the 1-seed, but if they rattle off a 13-3 including a couple wins vs the Rays while the Rays go 8-7 or worse, the Sox are headed to Florida.
  22. Longest winning streak this season is 6. Saving a longer one for October.
  23. 6-0 Astros in Arlington. Not that it matters except they’re wearing out the Rangers pitching staff before we get there.
