  1. Sox magic numbers: Pit and Col-6, SD-4, LAA-2, Cin-1
  2. If the Sox sweep, the Pirates sweep the Reds, and the Angels lose 2 to the Astros, Sox drop from 10 to 12. Unlikely, yes, but a couple losses this weekend would help.
  3. Nova starting Game 1 of a doubleheader...or an attempt to play a doubleheader. Garcia(S) LF Anderson(R) SS Abreu(R) 1B Jimenez(R) DH Moncada(S) 3B McCann(R) C Sanchez(S) 2B Engel(R) CF Cordell(R) RF
  4. Angels beat the Astros in 12 last night, so that’s good. A series split with the Tigers ensures the 10th pick, at least.
  5. That happened, and the Sox move to 10th. Angels up 3-0, top 4
  6. The 3:40 doubleheader tomorrow is now 3:10 because of the rain possibility later on. They’re probably just trying to get one in and then two on Saturday.
  7. Padres lost. Percentage points better than the Sox. Rockies down 4-3 in the 8th Sox need to go 2-3 and hope for 9th, or enough rain that helps in some way.
  8. Indians probably have to beat the Sox, the Nationals three games, the A's and/or the Rays once...all on the road, to get to the Division Series.
  9. Brewers one back with three left. Cubs- Cardinals Brewers- Rockies
  10. In the right deal, Madrigal is movable. I doubt it will happen though...and ultimately we’re going to be happy he’s on our team making every play and getting knocks and scoring runs.
  11. Whatever helps the Sox is good with me, but don't be surprised if MLB makes them play two Saturday and Sunday to get every game in.
  12. Sox win. Rockies, Padres, Angels lose. Still could fall to 11.
  13. Not watching, but the Twins clinch if the Sox win. That’s a lot of waiting around in the clubhouse.
  14. Not surprised he got hit by a pitch his second time up. He did airplane arms rounding the bases on his homer.
  15. Braun grand slam in the 1st inning
  16. Nice to see the Angels won too. Looking like 8 or 9. Tigers clinched the first pick last night. The doubleheader with them on Friday might get rained out. Saturday and Sunday have some rain too.
  17. Brewers magic number is one over Mets and Cubs.
  18. Nats three outs away in two games (their own and the Cubs losing) from clinching their spot.
  19. Santiago starts Sunday, ok? Nice guy, but let’s make his third tour, his last.
  20. Incredible how it looked hopeless when Yelich went down, and they just have been unstoppable since.
  21. Looks like the Nats will clinch(if they win) and the Brewers magic number will be one. Brewers hold the tiebreaker for home field over Nationals.
